Hillary Clinton: "We're Going to Take Things Away From You on Behalf of the Common Good"

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-Cuba), speaking at a Democratic party fundraiser in San Francisco yesterday, was remarkably frank about the Democrats' intentions to use socialist redistribution policies if the party gains power after the November elections.

As reported by the Associated Press, Sen. Clinton said, "Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

With her blunt statement, Sen. Clinton has drawn clear the difference between the two major parties: The Marxist Democratic party will "take things away from you on behalf of the common good" while the Republicans will defend your right to spend your money as you see fit because they know it's your money, not the government's.

Remember this during the long slog to the elections this year. The choice is clear: Marxism or freedom. Vote wisely.

There is and always has been something lame and morally putrid about penalizing hard work and commitment's to success.

No individual and no nation can progress or thrive if personal incentive is deprogrammed or penalized. The United States would not exist and would still be a colony of Great Britain if the colonists felt they needed the paternal guardianship and largess of George III.

As practiced by the Soviets, it stunted their country and after 80 or so years has done nothing but leave theme squarely behind the 8 ball...they have now a lot of ground to catch up. Where has it EVER worked??

Her intelligence is seriously overrated, and I base that solely on her actions since coming onto the national stage in 1992. From being cuckcolded, to being politically outmanuevered on a wide range of topics, to the laughable "magic billing records" this woman has shown herself to be politically tone deaf.

I know many people hold this woman as their own political "boogieman" hiding under the bed, waiting to spring forth and take the Whitehouse.

Sorry, I'm not one of those. The facts just don't support the attention given her in my opinion.

The fact you are forced to go to the lengths you did to construct a "scenario" is telling, my friend.

"the blonde witch project" said that there were MANY facts & policies that ordinary citizens could NOT ever understand & that therefore they had to be "fed pablum" and/or "protected from",so that they would NOT be "concerned about social & societal changes that might FRIGHTEN them".

she further stated that only the "intelligentsia" could be trusted to make "necessary changes" to society, such as health decisions, decisions for children's welfare,judicial decisions & "individual's spending decisions"!!!!!!!

It just doesn't work that way. A lesson was learned during the Hoover Administration. To avoid another horrific depression, that lesson and trend has continued for both parties! The end result is not a perfect economy, but a stable and healthy one. Hillary Clinton's recent redistribution of wealth comments should scare all of us.

I said not perfect! Among other things, I'm against NAFTA, a horrible trade deficit and outsourcing. Moreover, I believe in balanced trade. Because, over the long haul, I believe these items are going to come back and really bite us in the butt. In my humble opinion, we are supporting to many foreign countries. Yes, there are to many people in this country not producing up to their capabilities. And, of course, many don't want to produce even for themselves, or own well being!

On Friday, July 2, the AP published a correction to Hillary Clinton's statement:

"We're not coming to you, many of whom are well enough off that actually the tax cuts may have helped you, and say 'we're going to give you more.' We're saying, 'you know what, for America to get back on track and be fiscally responsible, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.'"
