Moore: Americans are 'The Dumbest People on the Planet'

Americans currently flocking to see Michael Moore's movie "Farenheit 9/11" might be surprised to learn how little respect the Democratic Party's leading propaganda-meister has for them.

''They are possibly the dumbest people on the planet," Moore told Britain's Mirror newspaper recently, referring to his fellow citizens as a whole. And that's not all Moore had to say about his brother Yanks across the pond. ''We Americans suffer from an enforced ignorance. We don't know about anything that's happening outside our country. Our stupidity is embarrassing.''

Turns out, when the Democratic Party's all-but-official filmmaker is speaking at home, he has nice things to say about at least some of his fellow citizens. But according to New York Times columnist David Brooks, when Moore travels abroad it's not just the Bush administration he trashes - but the American people en-masse.

Here's a few more bon mots from the Kerry campaign's leading celluloid supporter, as cited by Mr. Brooks on Saturday:

''That's why we're smiling all the time,'' Moore told a rapturous throng in Munich. ''You can see us coming down the street. You know, 'Hey! Hi! How's it going?' We've got that big [expletive] grin on our face all the time because our brains aren't loaded down.''

To a crowd in Cambridge, Moore intoned: ''You're stuck with being connected to this country of mine, which is known for bringing sadness and misery to places around the globe.''

Here's Moore's reaction to the 9/11 attacks, offered while the rubble at Ground Zero was still smoldering: ''We, the United States of America, are culpable in committing so many acts of terror and bloodshed that we had better get a clue about the culture of violence in which we have been active participants.''

As for the terrorists currently killing American soldiers in Iraq, Moore compares them to Revolutionary war heroes who fought off British oppression:

''The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win.''

"They are possibly the dumbest people on the planet . . . in thrall to conniving, thieving smug [pieces of the human anatomy]," Moore intoned. "We Americans suffer from an enforced ignorance. We don't know about anything that's happening outside our country. Our stupidity is embarrassing." Makes perfect sense to me, he knows no conservatives, so he has to be talking bout libs.

" PJ O'Rourke was on last night. "We don't want to know what's going on in the rest of the world. We came here to get away
from those people....""

I've said that on FR many times!

What show was O'Rourke on?

I'm sure he thinks I'm dumb cuz I'm not going to see his movie.

I agree (not), Americans are the dumbest people on the planet. That's why we have prospered above all other countries in the world because we're dumb.

Strange how the liberal left, muslims and the French NEVER ever responded with sympathy, support and empathy for the fallen innocent U.S. citizens DIED at the hands of terrorists in the World Trade Towers on 9-11, huh.

The liberal lefts deafening silence over 9-11, that's sympathy? That's supporting the troops? That's empathy for the fallen? To me, that's just.. evil!

Moore's garbage

also known as

MOORE-GASMS FOR MOORE-ONS.

If you think Fahrenheit 911 is his ultimate opus, you haven't seen anything yet. In Moore's universe, to quote the Jewish author Byalic, "Words are like desperate prostitutes. They will sell themselves to anybody for any price!"

This guy claims to be an ardent anti-capitalist, yet he himself is the worst kind of snake-oil capitalist there is. He's one RICH liberal! Hmmm! I wonder if he lives up to the socialist paradigm of REDISTRIBUTION OF POVERTY. Or at least its milder variant aka "Christian charity" - namely, THOSE WITH MEANS SHOULD NOT BE MEAN, AND SHOULD DO FAR MORE THAN MEAN WELL.

So I give him the opposite of the Irish blessing:

May the roads develop sinkholes beneath your feet (with that body mass it's entirely possible!), may the sun blind you with an excess of ultraviolet rays (you are an ardent believer in ozone depletion - so stop contributing your own body gas to it!), may the wind blow your house down (another catastrophic effect of 'global warming'), and may the driving rains carry the topsoil of your fields away (ditto previous comment).

One idiot speaking before an entire college of idiots.

Too bad Moore wasn't at the World Trade center (top floor), dining at the Windows on the World restaurant, feeding his fat repulsive face on let's see 9-11, was it?

More(on) works with a dumb bunch of actors and thinks the rest of the country is as dumb as the actors that got their GED or managed a year of college. He would be lost and would have to shut up if he went to a place that had half of the people graduated college. He who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool, teach him!

If this ever got out into the mainstream media; do y'all think the attendance to his movie would plummet?

I couldn't agree more. We have to fight him. Moore has crossed the line of reasonable disagreement with the President's policies. His remarks are so over the top that if these words are heard and read by enough people it will damage the Democrats. The Dems have come out in numbers to see this creep. His words are so anti-American and so deeply offensive that even we "dumb" Americans will see him for what he is. And I can't think of words that are adequate to describe how vile he is.

Like Clinton, Moore is so out of hand and delusional that even liberals are beginning to criticize him and the movie.

''They are possibly the dumbest people on the planet,"...

I'd take advice from Archie Bunker before I'd consider anything Michael Moore had to say.

Hey Michael, at least I was smart enough not to waste real money buying your books or tickets to your movies.

A significant number of Americans certainly qualify. I never thought I would actually agree with the beached whale.

That he gets any attention, and wins awards, certainly makes it undeniable. Q.E.D.

Of course, the same can be said for the French, only more so...

Damn. I never thought that I would agree with anything that delusional clown says.

liberalism is a personality disorder, or better yet: mental disease.

And in a world of ironies, it sort of makes you want to re-think that abortion thing, doesn't it. lol
