Personal encounter with UN weapons inspector
6/21/04 | Stewart Rutledge

Posted on 06/24/2004 11:30:13 PM PDT by Mississippi Individual

Preface: My name is Stewart Rutledge, please feel free to contact me at swrutled@olemiss.edu to ask me any questions about this encounter. I don't want this to be an unfounded email.

------

A former UN weapons inspector just came to Oxford, MS where I live. She does not live here, but she was visiting a cousin whom I know.

When asked the obligatory question, "Did Saddam have WMD's?" she responded an emphatic yes.

She stated that everywhere here inspections crew went that they were greeted with abandoned laboratories in which Iraqis would say, "Yes, we made anthrax and had the information, the scientists, and the capabilities to make nuclear weapons."

However, they all stated that they had no such WMD's in Iraq, thus thwarting the UN resolutions.

She, much to the dismay of her colleagues, proposed that hese weapons had been siphoned to Iran well before the 2004 war, and she was summarily kicked out of Iraq in 1997.

I'm not sending this in order to make a scene. I'm posting this in order to post the truth. Please do what you can with this, and I hope the truth will eventually emerge.

Stewart Rutledge

Perhaps we can get her an interview with Hannity or O'Reilly - or maybe even Rush. There are plenty of Freepers here with very good contacts.

Perhaps you could ask her if she would be willing to be interviewed. I would first make sure she is who she says she is.....

You could become a Freeper legend if you could pull this off. I hope you got her phone number or e-mail address.

Now her colleagues are saying.. summarily.. what she said then. The WMD were moved out of Iraq. The UN now is saying, however, that they were moved "before, during and after the (current) war."

Wonder if she'll be apologized to? I know that's so *fashionable* these days.

Should that say "everywhere HER inspections crew went..."? I had a very hard time deciphering this paragraph. At first I thought this woman was asking people in Oxford ("here") if Saddam had WMD's. I think I've finally got it straight now, though.

Yup! We know..................

this is pretty much all out there, but the truth has bee obfuscated to infer that Bush is, was and continues to be a liar.

The network media is behind the lack of historical truths for political reasons and it is sickening and very very dangerous precedent.

Heh.  If they had none, they were complying with the resolutions, not thwarting them.  I'm beginning to use 'blame Saddam' with the same feeling conservatives have when they sarcastically say 'blame Bush.'

Was not part of the resolution that Iraq would document the disposition of the weapons? "Shipped to Syria","sold to Al-Qaeda", "taken by Iran" would have put them in compliance. They may not have had them, but refused to document where they went.

In light of the oil for food scandal and these were UN inspectors wouldn't it benefit the UN not to find any WMD?
