Why does AFI like that song so much? Judy Garland!
Can we get any heterosexuals onto AFI, please?

Why isn't "This Is Your Life" from "Fight Club" on this list?!?!?! </sarcasm>

I like the songs from the opening credits of the old James Bond movies (i.e. Goldfinger, Thunderball, For your Eyes Only).

How about "Stella by Starlight", or "Laura"?

Gaaaaah. I despise "Over the Rainbow" and all such saccharine vomit-inducers.

I'm stunned that "Holiday Road" didn't make it from National Lampoons Vacation. Let alone the slight given to Otis Day & The Knights from Animal House.

Who voted on this thing?

What about either "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" or "The Trolley Song" from one of my favorite movies, "Meet Me in St. Louis?"

This is a great list!!! What's not to like?

I am especially pleased with the recognition of "Holiday Inn" as the movie where "White Christmas" first appeared. Most people don't know the song comes from that movie and not the movie that was later made with the same title as the song to capitalize on the song's popularity. "Holiday Inn" is a true classic. I hope this list makes more people go find the movie and watch it.

Actually, Jailhouse Rock and The Trolley Song both made the list.

The Trolley Song was on the list, just not in the top 10.

Interesting how many songs were sung by Babs and Judy.

I cannot resist a shameless plug here. My brother has a really gorgeous song in the Farrelly Brothers film "Kingpin" called "We Should Always Be Together". (I don't think it made the AFI list though).
