This is precisely the method and motive for atrocities such as the nazis perpetrated in Lidice, Czechoslovakia, in response to the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich by Czech partisans.
One kind soul on this thread even went so far as to recommend that anybody who attempted to escape should be shot dead. (From the Lidice link: "No one was allowed to leave the village; a 12 year old boy and a peasant woman were shot as they tried to escape.")
The rest of your rant is wasted on me. I am well aware that we are at war with vermin. I am glad to hear reports when the vermin are killed, and agree that they should be killed without mercy.
Unlike some on this thread, however, I choose not to classify all Iraqis as worthy of such treatment. I cannot avoid pointing out that the "kill 'em all" crowd has, in effect, decided that Iraqis in general are the same sort of vermin as the terrorists -- which again parallels the rather similar opinion of the nazis toward, say, the Ukrainians.

Please understand that based on twenty plus years doing business in the Middle East, a degree based on a major in Middle Eastern history and minor in Arabic, and lots of past friendships with Muslims, I should be the one who blanches at the thought of annihilating them. I simply don't anymore. My opinion about many things was changed for good on a September morning in 2001. But the change was based more on recollections of what muslim "friends" had told me of their beliefs, what I myself read in the Quran, and my understanding of history since AD 622 than on anything involving nineteen Arabs and four jets. That event just focused my attention on facts which I had till then refused to face.
I understand more than most about their history, culture, and religion and I'm telling you right now this will at some point (maybe in the far future, maybe not) become a question of them or us. At least it will be for those of us who feel conversion to a false faith or existence under their heel are not options to be considered.
These are cowardly acts of desperation, an attempt to have the countries intending to send troops think again. If there wasn't "progress" being made, these acts wouldn't take place, and if they did, the pussies wouldn't be wearing masks out of fear for their lives.

If you take the trouble to read this thread, you'll see that my charge of "acting like nazis" is reserved for those who are calling for the flattening of cities, and killing of the inhabitants therein, in retaliation for terrorist acts.
So do you think God was a Nazi? Because that is EXACTLY what He told Israel to do when they took a country. He even had their animals slaughtered to exterminate any future problems. Personally I like God's way of thinking, it works. If muslims were to take our country, I'd rather be dead and I hope they use the same principles. I'm not suggesting anything for them I am not willing to take myself, but then that is usually why its called WAR, and someone WILL win.
Your "suspicion" would be incorrect. I'm referring to the tactic in guerilla warfare where the guerillas gather recruits from areas where atrocities have been committed. (I stand by the claim that our flattening cities would be an atrocity.)

Let's be exact here...once an adolescent male Arab, Pakastani, Palestinian, etc has been through the equivalant of a Madras, we have lost him to any type of reform. He then regards us and anyone else as an enemy worthy of death at his own hand. These are the enemies that I agree need to be dealt with harshly and indiscriminately.
Our only hope is to get to the women and children in these cultures, and the unindoctrinated pro-western adult males, and somehow shield and protect them from their terrorist and terrorist-sympathizing adult males until they can face down these animals themselves.
That is what Bush is trying to accomplish. Whether he and the rest of our Western allies can accomplish this over a generation remains to be seen.
There are none! They are polar opposites. Try studying it for yourself to see.
