I'd ask what exactly we have done other than exist as non-muslims which has inspired "people to become terrorists" but I suspect your answer will lead to a long debate about "evil" western Judeo-Christian capitalist culture.

Your "suspicion" would be incorrect. I'm referring to the tactic in guerilla warfare where the guerillas gather recruits from areas where atrocities have been committed. (I stand by the claim that our flattening cities would be an atrocity.)

I did misread that you were referring to tactics and am sorry for that. Few if any of us at all want to see the day come again when it becomes necessary to wipe out a group of people, innocent along with guilty. That sentiment is one thing which makes us different from our adversaries and is making the fight against the monsters of Islam so difficult.

I feel sorry for the president in that he must try to the last to not demonize a billion people. However, if he genuinely believes that Islam preaches love and brotherhood along the same lines as Christian Gospel then he is deluded.

Unfortunately, when the next hammer falls such niceties will and IMHO must be cast aside in the interest of survival. It won't be done gladly or with shouts of "God is great!" but until the muslims understand that we have the will and means to do it I don't see a peaceful conclusion to this.
