Borger still had her Clinton kneepads on. And was also wearing a blue dress with a stain on it. You could not see the stain however, it was covered by the Kerry in 04 button she was wearing.

Al-Qaeda may still be operating in Iraq. Fortunately, Saddam Hussein is not. At least, he is no longer in the command structure of the few remaining Ba'athist forces.

Fox News tonight shows the two co-chairs of the commission both clearly state (today) that there WAS a clear connection between Saddam and Al Qaeda.
The commissioners (one D and the other R) said they didn't know what all the fuss was about. That the connection between the two was clearly established.

Vice Pres. CHENEY: I disagree with the way their findings have been portrayed. This has been enormous confusion over the Iraq-al-Qaida connection,
The media and the libs are playing a parsing game--shades of the Clinton era.
At least the Administration is finally getting people out onto the talk shows to counter the lib lies.
The Admin needs to improve greatly its PR; find ways to circumvent the mainstream media to get their message out; otherwise, the Administration is going to lose the PR war. And that means Kerry will could very well win in November.

SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION FOR USE OF UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES. (a) IN GENERAL- That the President is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against those nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, or harbored such organizations or persons, in order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons.
S.J. Resolution 23 - Authorization for Use of Military Force (Enrolled Bill); September 18, 2001
The operative words up there seem to be "aided or harbored."
Did Saddam have to be personally involved in 9/11 for him to have "aided or harbored" those "nations, organizations or persons" who were directly responsible?
Of course not....and evidence of Saddam's personal involvement in a very specific, clandestine decision is unlikely to surface.

BORGER: Was Iraq involved? Vice Pres. CHENEY: We don't know.
So why are we there?
To: RWR8189
Cheney's pretty worked up about the press distortions. Borger seems very dense. After a thorough explanation from Cheney she can still ask, "bottom line, though...Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11?" (Patiently, again, he replies, "no evidence." Borger doesn't seem to understand that no-evidence is not the same as no-connection.)

John Kerry say this is the worst economy since the Great Depression. That's just wrong. And anybody who hears that says, `What the hell's he talking about?' He doesn't know what he's talking about obviously... That's the first time I've heard Dick swear.

Trent Lott is on O'Reilly. Lott is advocating creation of an Intelligence Czar position to operate out of the White House and to be responsible for many, but not all, of the intelligence agencies that currently exist.
I thought that's what the new Homeland Security Department Secretary was supposed to be.
More government isn't the answer to terrorism.
