Senior President Bush recognized "Michael, Ron, and Patti". I thought that proper... since Michael is the oldest, and has been somewhat neglected this week. I've noticed and thought on this, too. The emphasis on Ron and Patti may be a polite way of honoring them for mending fences. Something similar happened at a recent funeral in my family. I don't think Michael will mind. He is secure in his relationship with his father- and the country knows it.

President Bush is really a wonderful public speaker. There's no call for the Democratic press to slam him as mentally deficient or draw cartoons of him with his ears sticking out and looking like a gnome.

Bush says "A government in Washington that began to exceed its limits."
The camera focuses on Clinton.
Clinton wipes his brow.

It was a joke...about Ronnie on the set, talking. Someone asked, "you should be president." Ronnie said, "of what." "President of the United States." Ronnie said, "you don't like my acting either."
To: mass55th
It sure looked like it. I wish someone could find a pic and post it here. After seeing all of this the last couple of days, I told the wife yesterday we are definitely getting TIVO next week.

When W asked Reagan one day if he ever thought about becoming president, he said, "President of what?" W said "The United States." Reagan said, "Oh, you don't like my acting either?"

Camera on Clinton again. He wakes up and now has his head pushed up and back with that smug look. You just know he is thinking about some bimbo.

If Clinton does something absolutely unbelieveable, such as trying to grab the limelight, you can bet your sweet bippy we're going to mention it here.
This is not a time to be talking about the Clintons. Either one of them.
To: HiJinx
Yes, a joke about fellow actors talking about Ronald Reagan in the '50s... asking if he might be headed toward other things (like being president).
"President?" Ronnie asked. "So you don't like my acting, either, huh?"
