Posted on 06/10/2004 2:28:07 PM PDT by alisasny
Alot of dignataries are now showing up to pay respects. McCain, Guiliani, Gorby, Karzai, etc.
Cspan has live coverage. Bush expected at 7 but could be earlier? He is then going to visit with Mrs. Reagan.
Guard changes about every half hour at .28 and .58 of the hour. One is going on right now.

History channel will be rerunning the documentary at midnight est. Either one still conveys the meaning behind the story.
I like your version better than the one in the documentary.

I don't care. GHWB wanted to shake a few hands and say hello. No harm there.
He's not running for anything.

It wasn't mere tolerance, it was respect for a well thought out argument. (If this is your thought processes fatigued, I will look forward your other posts.)and thank you for your kind comments.

Could all stories be true? From last night there are many people he helped without regard to photo opportunity or PR stunts.
(one staffer said he asked for and amount of letters sent to the president for him to personally answer.)

Nope, thats not right.
Bush even said he didn't want to interrupt the people mourning Reagan.
He was in and out and did what he intended so as not to interrupt what others were doing anymore than necessary.
He has also referred to the White House as "The People's House", and that is how he views this. Should he make a photo op out of it like Kerry did? Is that what you want?
Kennedy didn't even glance at the casket, didn't stop from what I saw; if you are going to rag on someone, rag on him.
Laura was NOT pulling GW around, either. If you saw, GW led her to it, led her in prayer and then exiting as well.
You guys need to let this one rest until you have viewed it again and wait for GW's remarks on it.

And who in hell would applaud Kerry and McAuliffe? I would applaud their being led to prison in irons...
(given the solem occasion of this thread, this is the mildest statement I felt comfortable making)

Give the Bush Family a break for the next few days and quit the continual sniping at them please!I agree wholeheartedly.

We are talking about George SR. Did you not see the reference to BARBARA in the posts..not LAURA. And yes, Barbara did pull him along.
To: RedBloodedAmerican
my comments were about Bush 41, not 43.

You might want to actually READ the post you are responding to before you jump all over me.
Read post 1015 AGAIN.

I love this legacy.
Reagan, Laura and George are all so dignified and honorable. No one who is Christian can deny that our nation was blessed by God with these people. -Amen
