I do not have real player on my computer at work and I need administrative priviledges to get it. This sucks!!!
Band now playing the National Hymn, "God of Our fathers."
That president was murdered. This one died as the oldest living president. There's going to be a difference in the feel of the proceedings.
Off-topic. but anyone know the name of this hymn?
could be the heat of the road - but the road temp is above 115 degrees. The bit is not bothering him, as someone asked - they're used to that. my money is on the heat.
God of ourFathers
I can always count on you to know the names........LOL!
Likely it's the crowds. Bits are designed to be unobtrusive. If the bit were in wrong, the bridle wouldn't be on his head long.
I think it got spooked by a barking dog...
That is one of my favorite informal pictures of President Reagan.
Nancy just waved to the crowd...
The still captures are good though.
I was wondering if Ronald wanted music to be played during the procession...

What have you heard from the Freepers now?
God of our fathers, Whose almighty hand
Leads forth in beauty all the starry band
Of shining worlds in splendor through the skies
Our grateful songs before Thy throne arise.
Thy love divine hath led us in the past,
In this free land by Thee our lot is cast,
Be Thou our Ruler, Guardian, Guide and Stay,
Thy Word our law, Thy paths our chosen way.
From wars alarms, from deadly pestilence,
Be Thy strong arm our ever sure defense;
Thy true religion in our hearts increase,
Thy bounteous goodness nourish us in peace.
Refresh Thy people on their toilsome way,
Lead us from night to never ending day;
Fill all our lives with love and grace divine,
And glory, laud, and praise be ever Thine.

He's not in pain, he's keyed up from the excitement and feels alone.
The riderless horse often acts a little fractious during the ceremony and that is just part of it. His instincts are telling him to be up where the other horses are and he's being made to walk slow and stay behind.
I thought it was Faith of our Fathers
Silent was not what he wanted or what is in order.
They are now playing "God of our Fathers, whose Almighty hand leads on in victory..." How can that be anything but fitting?
Some of the applause is their only way of showing the widow and the young military their appreciation.....
