Congress better be on their best behavior over the next two days - they don't want to upset 150,000 grieving, hot and tired Conservatives located right at their front door.

Comfort from Reagan himself:

"I will not ask you to pray for the dead, because they're safe in God's loving arms and beyond need of our prayers..."

Apparently the condition of the Iron Lady is such that she CAN speak and get about and so forth, but at her own pace.

Thus, while she will appear, and has prepared a videotaped eulogy, she would risk another stroke if she attempted to deliver that eulogy live.

God bless her. (See my home page.)

Yes, I remember that day very well.

Me, too. Was walking to the bus stop from my job in downtown Seattle, and went past the Republican HQ. They were deleriously happy! Went home to vote, and got the rest of the news that night.

Next day, only my buddy Al and I were happy, everybody else in the office was in a blue funk...

I wasn't sure it was her...but I guess it was. She sort of looks like 14YO geisha with all that work.

The difference is night and day. The Gen-Xer is a gem. The other two.....I'm glad they live to far away to visit much.

Ouch!

Let's just say there's night and day between my wife Rambette and her older sisters too, probably for the same reason!

Over 100k went to the Reagan Library... and more would have come if there was more time... many were actually turned away...

Of course, Noonan just said Thatcher can no longer speak, so I defer to her.

I saw that, but there was a beautiful moment where he was up with his fathers coffin in bright light. He kissed and saluted his father goodbye I believe.

GHWB and First Lady Barbara coming up
on LKL. Better than watching anything
else right now, especially O'Reilly.
Fox made a huge mistake going to regular
programing instead of keeping the camera in
the rotunda.

Earlier Matthews was shocked, shocked that this memorial service was so reverential, so much unlike the Wellstone debacle. He had been predicting Cheney would be very partisan.
