I'm embarrassed. TV's in the other room from where I'm loving the thread.
Unemotional? I think she looks bereft.
good point.
Cheney -- A true class act and one of my favorite speakers!
We had the same thought. :-D
Great eulogy, recalling the struggles of the eighties.
I hope the poor sailor gets a chance to close in so he's aligned with the other enlisted people.
What the heck is Michael Reagan doing at the back of the pack like one of the Help?
Maxine Waters must be going bust, btw.
Finally, I can't find Kerry in the crowd. I bet you that he doesn't show up to look like "just another Senator".
It's not his fault. He was going to walk behind the caisson with a surfboard behind the Riderless Horse, but there was no room for the camera crew. He must be windsurfing in the Reflecting Pool.
Hastert's summation was great, btw.
Cheney up.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
I didn't say anything he said wasn't true -- it was not TRUTH (which belongs to God). There was no need to have even a shadow of the Wellstone fiasco. There were plenty of other things, just as true, that he could have said. Or he could have left some out, and maybe he wouldn't have had to talk so fast.
Excellence is expected from Republicans!
Cheney is also doing a very good job - the right tone, nothing partisan.
Cheney is rocking! I love his first sentence about how though we knew this was coming but we are still so sad.
I think she looks bereft too and saw her eyes glistening with tears.
Cheny's speech ... I'm gone, like a baby.
I also remember being sad at the thought there would be another glorious inauguration of President Reagan.
Regards, Ivan
Cheney is just the best.
