Wow somebody post the overhead shot.
To: MadIvan
That overhead shot inside the Rotunda is awesome. All of those dignitaries -- the entire House, Senate and Supreme Court and VP all in one place. Doesn't happen except for State of Unit and Inaugurations.

same here. It's time for me to pause and have quiet time. And compose myself. Will check back later. Thanks to all for the photos and commentary. Everyone here makes life so much easier to bear.

Yes, it's tearing her heart out, but I really think it's a comfort to her, too. To really see how many hundreds of thousands of Americans are turning out and waiting for hours and hours to pay their respects to him.
Especially after the years and years of slings and arrows she's had to endure.

I think her hurt goes so deep she can't even cry probably. Can't you just imagine RR, at that time when he and his beloved are together again, looking into her eyes and saying, "you took care of me for ten, long, difficult years, now I've got eternity to look after you"

Watching coverage on both FOX NEWS and ABC with Tom Brokaw. What a contrast!! I could spit
fire at Brokaw and Donaldson, Cokie Roberts and "Baba" Walters!
They are all stunned at the turnout and the 'reverent' silence being shown President Reagan. To inject some irreverence, Tom Brokaw said: "We have not yet spoken about the relationship between Reagan and African Americans".
And "Baba" Walters has focused her reporting on Mrs. Regan and the spiritualists she brought in for consultation.
Freeper Eastsider is in Washington tonight to cover this event. He is a former member of the US Army Band, and desperately wanted to be there to bid "farewell" to President Ronald Reagan.
