Absolutely! Girls were not allowed to wear slacks to school. I wore a skirt or dress through 12th grade.

I would like the see King's Row, which is supposed to be his best movie.

Good movie. He was also in "Dark Victory", along with Bette Davis, which was made in 1939, and lost to "Gone With the Wind" for several Academy Awards.

HA! I'm a young thang........by at least two years!

One of the good things about getting older is that you don't get intimidated by people anymore, like doctors and bosses - it's great!

I worry about her. Even though she was as beautifully groomed and dressed as always, she looked so fragile today. She has a tight circle of very close friends but for something like the last 52 years her life has been devoted to being Ronald Reagan's wife and the past 10 years were focused on caring for him and protecting his privacy. She will be lost without him.

College orientation. I would go. Could be VERY important -- definitely more important than seeing the funeral live. At the college my daughter is headed to they practically require that a parent come.

Oops - sorry! It so often overlooked because it came out in 1939 along with Gong With the Wind, but I don't know how folks can watch Dark Victory and not get a lump in their throat...

The service at the library was very touching. Appropriate verses and wonderful prayer.

One of the saddest, most oppressive movies ever made. A golden classic!

Lady Thatcher's best line, ever...to Bush 41.."Now, Don't go wobbly on me , George"..and people often forget that the start of the proactive use of Western power, after Vietnam, was not Granada, or Panama, but Maggie's splendid alittle war in the Falklands..

Did you notice Merv Griffin and his wife right behind the family? He's been a dear friend to President and Mrs. Reagan for many years.

Now he's suggesting "that the little people got hurt " from Reaganomics. I know he's hoping to be Couric's lesbian lover, but this is getting insane.
