"Is Morepark College the one that teaches how to care for exotic animals?"

Yes. They have a great program.

*** And the dead are not really dead; they are still with us and they watch over us every day until it is our time to join them. ***

That is a neat thought!

I'm sorry for your losses of your friend and your mom. The support for the Reagan's is very obvious, and I'm sure will help them thru this. I can't imagine what this week will be like for them, tho! I'm glad they're doing it so the country has a chance to mourn.

Gawd, Dukakis. Still sounds like something you get from bad Mexican food.

It's wonderful so many people wish to pay their respects to Ronald Reagan, the greatest president in this lifetime. Only wish is they would dress decently when doing so -- too many polo shirts, baseball caps, and other casual clothing. Men should wear a suit or coat & tie, and women a dress, conservative suit/pantsuit, or similar suitable attire.

Not to go too far off-topic, but this is fun:

Ironically, the source of Dukakis' touted "Massachusetts Miracle," the economic rebound during his first [gubernatorial] term, was President Reagan. Reagan's military build-up, opposed by Dukakis, resulted in three times the national average being spent in Massachusetts, mostly on military hardware. The defense spending and research dollars resulted in the rebound.

Also, take a look at this map. It's great.

Funerals are definately for the living. Seems obvious, but we forget sometimes.

Yeah, me too. I watched all morning. The nets were surprised that they allowed the camera in the private ceremony. But I wasn't. That's how Mrs. Reagan is. Classy. very touching ceremony.

Jim Baker often relates one of his favorite Reagan stories about compronise. Secretary Baker asked him why he agreed to accept less than what he had been pushing for. President Reagan said, I'd rather take 80% than to go off the cliff with my flag flying. President Reagan was a tough negotiator but never a stubborn fool.

She specifically said she wanted it all public, every moment.

Me, too. :) According to a survey that Jay Leno sighted a couple of months ago, Shep is one of the most trusted voices in the country.

She specifically said she wanted it all public, every moment.

I know it was she that decided. The network people were speculating as to whether that was a last-minute change by her or not. THEY had believed that it would be completely private.
