I must credit Rush Limbaugh for the part about the children of America.
But don't you know it's true!!!

I had to leave the thread for a few hours, Dr's appt.
President Reagan was the first President I got to vote for, turning 18 in time to vote for his second term. To me, he was a President who was larger than life. No offense to Bush Sr., Bush Jr., or whats his face, but Reagan just had a presence about him. He could scare the $h!t out of an enemy, then show a humor and grace that is unequaled.

That's very interesting; I didn't know they planned it after they became President, but it does make sense. How weird to have to do that.

He was simply amazing. That's why it hurts so to see him go.

I didn't turn 18 in time for the 1984 election but I remember my friends being aghast that I was voting Bush in 1988. I laughed. It was like, what? You're voting DUKAKIS and you're making fun of ME? Wish I could have voted for Reagan.

Another great picture!
The obvious true love between them is another similarity the Reagan's have with the current President and his wife.

Attending a funeral is one of the most stressful events in life... You should never be left to mourn alone... always remember that during a sad time like this, we are loved by God.
When my Mom passed away I felt awful till the funeral. Afterward I felt better and I told the priest, who was a friend. "That's what funerals are for," he replied. Now I'll always remember that funerals are to make us feel better, to feel comforted, not to feel worse. A funeral is like a little Easter Sunday.

Good article--thanks

I don't think either of the Clintons, not to mention most of the Dem. Libs up there, have/will EVER take responsibility for anything.
