Reagan family has arrived in Santa Monica to escort President Reagan's body to his library.
She even included Maureen's husband and new fiancee in the ceremony, a very classy move.
Tha California Freepers have an RV and are already at the site. They will do whatever seems appropriate.
I am NOT the queen of anything; I am the keeper of THE list; that's all. Thanks for the kind words though.
I saw somewhere that she's 80. She looks great for 80. We were watching her on our manager's TV, and one of the guys noted that she has "great legs". (He didn't mean it disrespectfully, just commented admiringly.)
Thank you for posting this picture. I'm at work but was able to catch this much. I am gratified to see so many millions of Americans showing their respect and adoration. I also believe it helps Nancy - poor lady.
Hello Ivan, good to see you again. Seeing your screen name brings back memories of our dash to Baghdad. Those were the days.
This is makin' me cry. I loved President Reagan soooo much. I will always remember that he was unashamedly pro life.
Welcome aboard. Keep it clean, keep it honest and keep the spirit of the Regan Conservatives alive and vigorous, you'll do just fine.
Pithy humor is welcome and relished.
Great time to take your first dip in the pool .
***suddenly got the widest, happiest grin on his face and held it for a few seconds. A few minutes later, he was gone. Perhaps that smile was for his grandson, or perhaps it was because, although he hadn't had the intellect or capacity to actively reach out and hold on to the Lord's hand for years, he was so happy to see that the Lord had held on to his anyway all that time.***
Or maybe he saw God's angels coming to take him to heaven (I've got goosebumps!)
I love stories like that!
On the other hand, a long-time nurse I worked with told of being with a non-believing resident of the nursing home as she died; the nurse said the resident was burning up as with a fever when she died (but was not sick and didn't have a fever . . . )
Brit Hume is my guy. You're entitled to your opinion, but I really think Smith is a detestable lightweight.
God bless America.
Yes, he was a broken man after she died.
I used to live in the southeast corner of Thousand Oaks CA, so I know this neck of the woods well.
I'd miss half of what goes on if it wasn't for Howlin.
How do people without faith bear sadness like this???
Nancy sure looks frail, but beautiful and somewhat peaceful. What a tough week ahead for her .. but.. she must be comforted by the genuine outpouring of love by so many!
I must go for now to get ready for dinner.
I'll be back. Once again, thanks to all of you, and I truly appreciate the kind words and welcome. Now .. with that out of the way, I can start spewing my opinions! HA!
Blessings to all!!!!!

Just what I was thinking. They will remember this day all their lives and tell it to their grandchildren. Wow.
Regards, Ivan
Hey get this...My hubby just left for work about an hour ago and he noticed a VFW Post did NOT have the flag at half staff. My hubby called me on his cell to let me know.
I called them and asked them why the flag was not at half staff and some b**ch while laughing said "their rope was broke!" I then said to her "don't you think you could get some American citizen to fix it for you, I am sure you would have no problem in doing that!" She then said real snobbish "I will try to get right on that!" and then she hung up on me!
That made me so angry I then called Washington D.C. HQ of the VFW and talked to the main person and told him what had happened and asked him if he could get someone to help them get it fixed so President Reagan could appropriately be honored. I reminded him that the President passed on Saturday and that the VFW Post had plenty of time to fix it. He seemed stunned by it. He wanted the post number and their phone number. If that flag is not at half staff within 24 hrs I will be calling someone to make sure it is done! I am soooooooooo mad!
