Thanks for a Saturday night Dose on this sad day.
President Bush's comments about President Reagan could have been said by someone else about President Bush:
The confidence that comes with conviction
The strength that comes with character
The grace that comes with humility
The humor that comes with wisdom

No matter how we feel about Chirac, these pictures with the two of them looking relaxed, with easy body language is going to be good for improving the President's image with the "we can't go it alone crowd." This might help with some of the swing voters. I agree.
Bush is the epitome of grace and forgiveness, expressed at the right time. IMHO.
I LOVE Laura's salmon-colored suit.

I'm getting a red X where that picture should be. What kind of picture is it that I've missed?
Gretchen, thanks for the weekend dose, I really needed it today.

Thanks for the great pics and hope you are better soon.
GWB is in fine form in these photos. Hope he feels well-rested for the ceremony after having had his sleep interrupted, albeit for a very important reason. May God continue to bless and protect him and Laura.

Thanks. I checked out the website. I WONDER WHAT WOULD BE THE CHANCES OF THE BUSH/CHENEY CAMPAIGN ORDERING ABOUT 100,000 OF THOSE FOR THE ELECTION and then distributing them in battleground states like Ohio, Missouri, Florida, etc. I mean, they could even "sell" them. I'd buy one if I was at a Bush Campaign HQ or a rally.
I'm telling you; that is a VOTE MAGNET!!!!

Hmmmm? Isn't that what Chirac did the last time .. he promised Powell he was going to vote with us .. and at the last moment he changed his vote - and blind-sided Powell.

Do you know how early it's going to be on - maybe I'll hit the sack early and set my alarm - I like to watch it live too.
