Air Force Chaplain (Capt.) Hamza Al-Mubarak, an imam based at Ramstein Air Base, testified for the defense that Webster had done the right thing.

Enuff said.

"I would not say he's an extremist," Al-Mubarak testified during cross-examination. "He was adhering to the sincere advice of the scholars. It is not permissible for him to take up arms and kill another Muslim.

I guess there is a collateral damage waiver in the Koran..

This guy's a chaplain??? If nothing else conclusively proves that Islam is imcompatible with American values and that Muslims have no place in the U.S. Military, this does.

Now if they will just execute the one who did deploy...and then attacked his own on the night before the advance, killing Major Stone.

"His reputation is solid," Haight said. "The problems were when we had missions in Muslim countries; that's when he started drawing the line."

Then his reputation is not solid. By his own actions, it's pretty clear to me that this "soldier" serves not the United States of America, but Islamic Jihad.

14 months is far too light a sentence.

What the military needs to learn is that for 99% of Muslims, their "religion" comes first. Their commitment to their country is not an issue for them, as it does not exist for this country. So they should not be in the military, period.

Gioia also said some soldiers had reservations of deploying with Webster, who converted to Islam in 1994 after returning from Operation Desert Storm.

Abdullah, if he had paid a little attention in school, could have learned that the Muslims were among the first to trade Slaves out of Africa, walking them out of Africa east. How African-Americans can convert to a Religion that condoned African Slavery and still advocates Slavery defies logic. American schools in their teaching of history insinuate that the United States was the only transporter of Slaves and responsible for all the slave trade, Abdullahs are the result of this education.

Americans are Americans and if you don't or won't defend this country get out. Muslims want what this country can give but do not want our culture. If you wont assimilate get out, this is not the melting pot of the early immigrants.

"...the clerics said it would be better for him to die than to bear arms against fellow Muslims.'

So be it.

When he converted to Muslim he should have quit the Military.
His allegiance now belongs to his religion not his country.

Take him to Iraq and drop the sob raghead from the plane/helicopter at 10,000+ feet...ragheads should be dispatched to meet their fu*king virgins now with the excepton if they vociferously and sincerely urge their fellow ragheads to oppose the current raghead position of terrorism.

Why do we even have Muslims serving in our army? Who do they pledge their allegiance to?

it would be better for him to die than to bear arms against fellow muslims.

Has al-Qaeda heard about this? Nah...

If they won't fight fellow muslims, throw them all out of the armed services, NOW! Dishonorable Discharge, dammit!

I would have socked him with actions prejudicial to the good order and discipline of the unit and thrown on another 6 months of breaking rocks.

Why they even let Muslims in the military is something I`ll never understand..Excuse me, but who are we fighting again? Oh but that`s right, only "radical" muslims, not the "peaceful religion" muslims. Yes, the type that we let into our military, the type who like to throw grenades into the tents of our GI`s. Freggin unreal...Like letting Nazis join our side in WW2.."But he is a peaceful Nazi and we can trust him." . Someday our military will get it, IF YOU ARE NOT MUSLIM, MUSLIMS DON`T WANT YOU ON THIS EARTH!

Sgt. 1st Class Abdullah Webster

What a chump. After he's served his time in the big house, I hope he leaves the US and never comes back.

Who says he has to take up arms? Send him out on patrol, put him on point unarmed and let him draw fire from his Jihadist brothers. Betcha he'd be scrambling around for a weapon double-quick.

I know flames are coming my way for this, but I have to say it:

A Senior NCO converts to a religion.
War breaks out.
He realizes that his new religion would endanger his fellow troops, since he , in all good faith (YES, FAITH) could not shoot his fellow Muslims.
He risks an 18 year career in the Army with the retirement only 2 years away, by turning himself in as a CO.
He is found guilty and drummed out of the Army (no retirement, 18 years down the drain) for his concern of being able to do his duty.
To me, this is a person of character, who deeply believes in his religion.

A senior NCO I knew once, turned himself in for "failure to repair", because he over slept. I asked him why he did it, and he said " I can not, in all due conscience, punish the troops for reporting late, if I am not willing to take the same punishment when I do it". another man of conscience.
