FREEPERS, please join us in the battle vs Michael Moore...Theatre chain contact info provided, let's email/call, request they not carry this dangerous and irresponsible film. Please copy and forward to friends, family, etc. Say NO To Michael Moore and his anti-American agenda!
Why not do BOTH?
We need to DISCREDIT this idiot and his PROPAGANDA in the face of the American sheeple.
Remember, the movie going crowd are not known to be the sharpest knives in the drawer.
LOL...Already doing all that and more. Was that the attitude you had towards CBS and "The Reagans"?
Should we have taken that attitude towards Hitler, after all, that Treaty of Versailles was pretty harsh and unfair towards Germany, maybe we should allow him to militarize the Rhineland, build an air force, etc.
See where I'm going with this, Auntie?
LOL--they just don't get it, huh?
excellent graphic
are you on Michael Moore's payroll? If you aren't, you should be. He loves this. If word of boycott spreads the networks will have another excuse to give him hours of free commercials.
see #19
I did. You're just helping Moore.
are you on Michael Moore's payroll? If you aren't, you should be. He loves this. If word of boycott spreads the networks will have another excuse to give him hours of free commercials.
Precisely. This board is full of Conservatives and Bush voters who want to line up and help Moore make this film the biggest propaganda hit since Triumph of the Will. An organized boycott would simply increase the chatter about his film, that's all.
Now if you really want to hurt the fat bastard, make sure that the Shanghai Triad gets a copy of his film so they can bootleg it to DVD and start distributing it at, say, 25% of ticket price. If you decide to see this film, do not go to the movies to see it. That's putting money in Moore's pocket. Nope, borrow a bootlegged copy from someone else. Whatever you do, do not see it at the movies and do not buy the DVD.
You may be pissed off when you see this tripe, but you'll also be putting money in the Fat Bastard's pocket. Don't.
Now if you want to see well-done propaganda, rent Leni Riefenstahl's Triumph of the Will. Follow it up with Olympiade, Riefenstahl's paean to the 1936 Berlin Games. Riefenstahl's films have a consistency that Moore cannot capture, because what Leni is doing is, primarily, recording an event (the 1934 Parteitag Rally in Nuremburg). She builds the propaganda around the event by recording the reactions of enthusiastic SA men. It's a genuinely good film in the service of a monstrous cause, and I recommend it for anyone who wants to understand just how effective good propaganda can be. Also rent Olivier's 1944 production of Henry V; Shakespeare placed at the service of the Allied Cause.
For anyone who wants to see bad propaganda, borrow any Moore film, of course. Or rent Aleksandr Nevsky, a ponderous Stalinoid epic in which Nevsky repels the Teutonic Invasion at the Battle of Lake Peipus while looking remarkablly like Uncle Joe.
Remember, NO MONEY FOR FAT BASTARD!
Be Seeing You,
Chris
p.s.: Truth in Advertising: while I am fat, I am not a bastard.
Please publish a list of all movies, songs, books and art that we need to destroy and never let anyone ever see ever again. You obviously know what best for the American People, better than the American people do.
Maybe we can even have a Government Agency that goes around giving approvals or setting the Moral standards for all the sheeple. Maybe we could even have a night where we all go around destroying that which we know to be in direct opposition to our way of thinking...sounds like fun.
Please, please ...Tell me what to think. I want ot make sure I am in COMPLETE agreement with the way YOU think.
Do you like Red? Only Commies like red, so lets get rid of it. How about Shakespeare? Two Gentlemen from Verona sounds Gay... I'm so asleep that I can't make the decision for myself.
You do it for me.
/End Flame (Sorry for the flame, but this really riles me...on only one cup of coffee so far this morning no less....
Lemme restate the question: Serrated or dull?
I would gladly risk the chance of Death so as to live free from despotic control.
Don't see the movie is you so Choose. Me, I'm happy that I have the freedom to make that decision my self.
I'm guessing sentence structure wasn't your strong suit. Touche.
Now, I shall inquire again: serrated or dull?
You're exactly right. The very WORST thing we could do would be to call theaters. A large-scale effort like that would turn it into something far, far bigger.

Hello? Anybody home?
The left does this to us every single day.
Go ahead, see it. Just realize that it won't be hard now to make the case that you support the Left AND liars.
Door Number Two, Monty. :-)
Oh... I see the reason his lips aren't moving... he chose the DULL BLADE!
Here is the man he's supporting:
Controversial director Michael Moore says big names like Meryl Streep and Martin Scorsese supported his outburst at the 2003 Academy Awards. The Fahrenheit 9/11 film-maker took to the stage at the glitzy ceremony to accept the award for his acclaimed movie Bowling For Columbine, and proceeded to call shame on President George W. Bush's war on Iraq. But, while the media insisted many were infuriated by Moore's speech, the documentary maestro insists he was sent letters of support by many Hollywood 'A' listers - including Jeff Bridges and Jonathan Demme. Moore says, "Some complained about it on TV - James Woods and others, just horrible, disgusting people. I was glad they didn't like it. I got incredible notes, phone calls, e-mails and letters from Jonathan Demme, Jeff Bridges, Martin Scorsese, Meryl Streep - I could go down a whole list, but I don't know if I should out them. Then, when everyone was saying that any person who criticized America at a time of war would be shunned and boycotted and ignored and vilified, the sales of my books and movies went through the roof."
The poster is exactlly what I needed!!! A co-worker and I got in a debate about the movie and he said him and all his friends were going to see it and I told him I would be there too with a big sign out front protesting it. Now I have the perfect sign
Way to go!
This is why I am making the case to FReep the traitor Michael Moore's PROPAGANDA disguised as a 'documentary'.
