"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"
KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia - Tens of American, European and other hostages were released Sunday and a gunman believed to be the lead Islamic militant holding them was arrested, a Saudi security official said, adding that two other gunmen were "in the process of being arrested."
We are the "Stotters" who make ourselves aware of the enemy who wishes to do us harm
PHILADELPHIA (AP) Airliners about to take off from Philadelphia and Boston were searched Wednesday after a caller reported "an item" on an American Airlines plane preparing to take off for Boston.
Gross! (I know it's not your fault!) I didn't even read this b/c I was afraid I'd be seeing hands falling out of the sky when I slept last night! Now I'll go see what on earth this is about (or do I not want to know??)
With all this talk on the news about our troops being stretched too thin, China may see this as an opportunity and take advantage. Doing so w/ GWB in the WH would be a grave mistake on China's part. The land forces may be stretched, but we still have the carrier battle groups.
Still, this situation bears watching.
Prediction: We lose a couple of cities in a terror attack, China will make it's move on Taiwan.

Abington Police Close Route 18 after Suspicious Package Found (Boston, Mass. - Tuesday, June 1)
Abington Deputy Police Chief David G. Majenski carries a suitcase to a police vehicle Tuesday after it was determined the suspicious package left on a traffic island at Route 18 and Lincoln Boulevard was harmless. The threat, however, was enough to close a section of Route 18 as schools were getting ready to dismiss students at 2 p.m., causing traffic delays and road detours. (Marc Vasconcellos/The Enterprise) By Mike Melanson, Enterprise correspondent
ABINGTON Police closed Route 18 Tuesday afternoon and called in a state police bomb squad after finding a suspicious package near a road leading into the high school and Town Hall.
A parent picking up a child from Abington High School saw a woman stop her car in the intersection of Route 18, Gliniewicz Way and Lincoln Street, and drop off a suitcase near the Lincoln Street traffic island about 2 p.m., said Deputy Police Chief David Majenski.
Majenski said the parent notified the town Highway Department, and the superintendent of streets notified police.
Police also found a shoebox-sized package at the scene containing computer or electronic parts. Majenski said police, concerned with the items' proximity to the high school, library, Town Hall and an elderly housing complex off Gliniewicz Way, cordoned off Route 18 for about an hour and rerouted traffic.
"We didn't know what we had at that point," Majenski said. The suitcase had accidentally fallen off a pickup truck in Weymouth or Abington. Police, who traced the owner of the suitcase and package from a tracking label, later learned the driver was returning home from a business trip, Majenski said.
A passer-by picked up the items, and then apparently panicked before depositing the items at the busy Route 18 intersection, said Deputy Fire Chief Arthur Pelland. "It caused a lot of problems," Pelland said. Majenski called the woman a "good Samaritan" for picking up the items, but said she should have dropped them off at the police station or at least alerted authorities.
Pelland cautioned people to immediately report suspicious packages to the police or fire departments. "You have to err on the side of caution," Pelland said. "Consider the worst and hope for the best." The driver later retrieved the suitcase and package from authorities. On Monday, Abington police called a bomb squad to the MBTA station on Centre Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. when someone reported a suspicious item there. It turned out to be motor oil, Pelland said. Is it not GREAT to have our TM back! YES!!!
Oh oh, that does not sound good. Philadelphia has had some odd goings on and has been on our watch list for some time now. Thanks for finding that!!
How bizzarre. If you find anything else on this, please keep us posted.
We ARE making progress!!
That's frightening.
Audio tapes with jihad messages have been found at the site of many previous Al Qaeda attacks. An audio tape was one of the first pieces of evidence that was found in Madrid to tie the bombings to Al Qaeda.
While I'm posting, let me pass on this information.
This is my little emergency kit - everything fits compactly on a keychain that you can attach to a beltloop.
Go pick up the following things at the store: a ringed keychain that will fit on your belt, a $5 phone calling card, a dust filtration mask, a small 2 inch flash light with a ring that can go on the keychain, and a whistle. Take a your business card and write ALL of your contact information on it and emergency contacts. Include blood type and any medical conditions like diabetes, asthma, etc.
Fold the dust mask as small as you can, and take that, 4 quarters, and a $20 bill. Place them between the calling card and the business card and laminate them together, leave space to punch a hole in the corner.
Place the card, the flashlight, and the whistle on the keyring.
This is an emergency survival kit:
1. The cards compacted together will give you emergency cash to make a phone call, and cover other essentials. Some people may place an extra credit card in there too. Remember that in a disaster the credit card and phone card may not work
2. The flashlight is not just for obvious use but will also come in handy to help notify searchers if you are trapped in a building.
3. The mask will keep dust and other particulate matter out of your lungs.
4. The whistle can be used to signal. There may be a lot of people screaming in a disaster, so one more scream may not be heard. A whistle will stand out. It will also get a dog's attention FAST. It takes a lot less air to blow a whistle than scream, and you won't get as much gunk in your lungs.
Thanks for ALL your help yesterday!!!
HI, good to see you.
These are excellent suggestions! Thank you so much!
Great and practical info....thank you! Glad your back!!! Your info. and translations are a very large piece of the TM puzzle of information.
Turkish, Egyptian truckers kidnapped and threatened in Iraq
Baghdad, Iraq-AP -- Terrorists in Iraq have released another videotape, threatening two more men they claim to be holding hostage.
The tape obtained by The Associated Press today shows masked men armed with rocket-propelled grenade launchers holding two men identified as truck drivers from Turkey and Egypt. It says they were hauling supplies for the U-S Army and vows they will be dealt with, in accordance with Islamic law. It says others who work with the U-S will -- quote -- "meet the same fate."
A similar tape has been broadcast by two Arab satellite channels.
Unidentified terrorists have abducted as many as 40 foreigners since April. Most have been freed. One -- American Nick Berg -- was decapitated.
They were ready to do that in 2001 but the terrorists failed the objective.
Thank you, Piper.
I hope the drama is behind us. This thread is too important for such nonsense.
