Really? Got proof?

"I got to thinking while listening to Pres. Bush give this last night and I think about 20% of the speech was directed at a US audience while the other 80% was directed at an IRAQI audience."

Me too. I also GREATLY appreciated that the president cared enough about the horrible, tortuous murder of Nick Berg to remind people of it, since the media is completely ignoring it.

Most of today's spin is "when we think of the war in Iraq, we'll remember Abu Graibe as the defining moment", and "since the war in Iraq ended" crap.

Nothing unexpected.

"Here, you have people like us who support the mission and GWB. Then there are the leftists who nothing but utter defeat(of GWB, and if it brings the rest of the country down, so be it) will make them happy. So speaking to the Iraqis is the one thing that might actually help the situation."

We need someone skilled (and with the software) to filter the cover of The New Soldier over top of Iraqis dragging the head od Saddam's statue through the streets of Baghdad to illustrate why the left has no ability to see what's really happening in the war on terror.

I like the way he corrects the questions as he answers, it reminds me of Ari Fleischer.

We need someone like Ari back to counter the idiot press

"Without your live threads we'd all be in straight jackets."

LOL, that is so true. I remember how I felt before I found FreeRepublic. Oh so alone, lots of yelling at the tv.

Notice the silence from McC now that CFR is being blatantly ignored by his friends the dems. Not a word of condemnation. That he saves for all things President Bush.

Agreed with you on that point.

He's also still willing to support President Bush for re-election.

I think this is due to the fact that the administration has NOT been willing to go into the details of Saddam's al-Qaeda conenctions - say what you will about Bill Kristol, the Weekly Standard's article, "Case Closed" has a very detailed picture of those connections.

Tack on th einteresting factoid the Guardian had on the training at Salman Pak, and I think there is enough reason to not only believe that Saddam and al-Qaeda cooperated, but that some of that cooperation involved 9/11.

The decision to focus on WMD was a mistake, albeit one that was very understandable. Tom Clancy's not the type to make such a call lightly, and I'm sure he has his reasons.

He did what he set out to do without a lot of fanfare.

After reading all the comments here and listening to the talking heads, you all appear to be right, IMO.

I guess it was just me having a "wobbly" moment or something. I've been watching too much of the history channel and listening to war time speeches and his low-key approach surprised me.

ONLY A PARTIAL LIST OF TERRORIST ACTIVITIES SUPPORTED BY THESE MURDEROUS SAVAGES AND THE AL QAEDA WING OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY

Thank you for an excellent post. I'd like to complile a complete list to be used to reply to "letters to the editor" that claim there was no reason to go to war.

Can you tell me the source of your list?

Hi Gracey! I won't be able to get to my mail until this evening. I'm looking forward to reading your message. I post this incredible photo every week or so. Thank you for your compliment! I really can't take credit for it, though, because I picked it up from a thread several months ago and I don't know who is responsible for creating this outstanding and touching illustration.

I would like to add the burning Pentagon and the crash site in Pennsylvania to it, too. It is TRULY his legacy. He is TOTALLY responsible for the events of 9/11. He had absolutely NO BUSINESS being president. And since it was the democrat party that is responsible for putting that jackass in office and demanding he stay there no matter what he did, I have been screaming that the democrat party must be abolished and replaced with another party or they are going to get us all killed.

If you make a button out of that, I would love to have one.
