What is realy fun is when we get a thread on here about a home invasion where it gives the perps name, and some start saying he shouldn't have been shot or whatever, I pull up his arrest record and it's about a mile long, that usualy shuts them up prety quick. We're going through that in S.F. now. Some 29-year-old two-time loser who lost his lower legs speeding away from state troopers in 1993 finally tempted fate once too often, and San Francisco police shot him after he reportedly shot at them as he was (guess what?) speeding away from them.
His mother is a lawyer, and has badgered prison officials on her son's behalf in recent years for not being sensitive to his 'special needs' behind bars (he had prosthetic legs). Now, she's showing up all over TV news, screaming at public officials that the SFPD "murdered" her son.
The dead dude, Cammerin Boyd, wasn't involved in a home invasion, but he did have a conviction for residential burglary.

Two theories:
1- This is how much digging the Democrats had to do to find a viable VP candidate for John Kerry.
2- Andy's passed his time away in the 1980s by popping up around the country during that rash of "Elvis" sightings.

What years were you in Houston? The Comedy Workshop (on Shepherd I believe) housed the Texas Outlaw Comics (including Sam Kineson).
There were several rising stars who came out of there. Janene Garafolo moved to Houston for awhile because of that place. Brett Butler also came out of Houston's comedy scene. I can't recall the other male comedians to come out of the Texas Outlaw Comics group.

Kaufman was never funny. He was a private joke among people with no sense of humor.

"Kaufman was never funny. He was a private joke among people with no sense of humor."
Well, his lip-synching to the "Mighty Mouse" theme song was a riot, as was his Elvis impersonation (OK, maybe that one was not technically funny, but it was extremely entertaining nevertheless). Never did get his wrestling gig, however.
That movie he made with "Classy" Freddie Blassy ("My Breakfast with Blassy"), where the two of them pontificate on wrestling, et al, sounds like a good concept. Wonder if its out on DVD?

Hmmm from his death certificate we have his date of birth, social security number and mothers maiden name.
If he IS alive, does this mean that we can all apply for credit cards in his name?
To: gracie1
I hear he's been doing studio work for "Tito & Tarantula".
[listen to "Strange Face of Love" and "Back to the House That Love Built" and tell me it ain't so]....:))

What is realy amazing is that niether his name or SSN shows up in the SSA master death list. This gets me to thinking the death certificate might be a hoax.

If I read this correctly, Kaufman's not dead because the SSA doesn't say he's dead. I, for one, would not be surprised to discover that the SSA has that kind of authority.
Indeed, Kaufman had enough dealings and funnelings of money that I find it hard to believe they would not have noted his death.
Who knows, maybe he's been dutifully paying his taxes all these many years.

Don't know about Andy, but that pic proves the existance of silicone-based life forms.
Sure wish I could believe Andy is back. He really slayed me, but I love twisted humor anyway.
To: bootyist-monk
they still have the picture of Andy working as a busboy (which he did, unbelievably, while he was starring in Taxi).
I remember reading that Andy did that his whole career, to keep himself grounded.
To: woofie
He is the late son of the late Mr and Mrs Kaufman So he claims.
To: mhking; .45MAN
Bull.I agree. The news of his anticipated "return" was more widespread than his "actual" (oh puhleeze) return.

Its Bob Zmuda pathetic attempt to resurrect a potential money maker thats been dead for 20 years. Dan Ackaroyd has been doing it off John Belushi for the past 20 years.Right. I've been milking Martin Crasko's death for 12 years, for example.
