There were several rising stars who came out of there. Janene Garafolo moved to Houston for awhile because of that place. Brett Butler also came out of Houston's comedy scene. I can't recall the other male comedians to come out of the Texas Outlaw Comics group.
You forgot Bill Hicks, THE god of comedy. We shall never see his like again.
