DU post, 11:11am: Rummy picked the shell up from Pine Bluff before his visit to Iraq Awful damn convenient that the person in the world most under the microscope right now that has more access to chemical weapons than anyone else in the world just popped his head in the door to have a pep rally last week and an old sarin shell shows up minutes after he left.

Newsies are trying to pass this off as an isolated incident--that the 'insurrectionists' didn't know they had a chemical weapon [bridge for sale in Brooklyn and oceanfront property for sale in AZ alert].

We will know if more Sarin-laced IED are found soon. Until then, shoebomber Reid acted alone and Muhammad and Malvo were 2 white guys in a white van.>>>

If the above is the case then we all need to worry. Because if they did not know this until now. They surely know where they got it and if there is more, expect much much more ied'd with sarin to come out.

I disagree that antidotes in the field will suddenly take out all toxicity from a nerve agent, they will keep the afflicted from dying until they get better treatment...but there are still side effects..often from the antidotes themselves.

And you have to have a continuous ready supply of antidote. If one come under repeated nerve gas assaults miles from resupply what do you do then hmm besides hoping that your protective gear will hold out long enough?

.........that the 'insurrectionists' didn't know they had a chemical weapon

So really the "INSURRECTIONISTS" can NOT be held responsible for a WMD release because it was an "ACCIDENT".

By this crazy logic, when the Terrorists are successful in detonating a WMD HERE in the United States that costs thousand of lives all the TERRORISTS have to claim is, "WE DIDN'T KNOW it was a WMD, we just wanted to KILL only a FEW of YOU!!"........Sorry, only the convoluted mind of a LIBERAL can this be taken seriously.

WOW, I am greatly relieved that it was only an old manufacture shell. Heaven forbid if it were a new manufacture. The new ones kill better don't they?

I wonder what would happen if the terrorists set off one of these old manufacture shells in LA. Probably scare the Shiite out of the libs. Since it was only an old shell, why would they run?

Yeah - I bet those terrorists are busily searching through their stockpiles now looking for more "bonus" rounds. I hope the good guys' NBC gear is still in good shape after a year of heat and sand.

Members of the media really need to be labeled properly and forced to identify a "side" in any given conflict they report on. How are these frauds technically different than Baghdad Bob?

I remember watching an air show from the 97th floor of a skyscraper in Chicago in August 2001 overlooking the river. We'll never see that again. (t'birds from above was way cool)

I heard that report - he's been on a few times this morning. He's saying he hopes whoever planted it didn't know what it was and that Saddam's chemical munitions are color-coded? He's Gazi George - former Iraqi scientist.
