HMMMM . . .

When I wrote:

Your wisdom, granny, seems to be keenly in step with THE FR BOSS! Thanks much for your assertiveness.

I meant it as an affirmation--an appreciation for your foresightedness and being instinctively, proactively more understanding of and in-step with the Boss's preferences, intentions etc. I was thanking you for your

ASSERTIVENESS WITH ME!!!!

Sheesh.

Sigh.

So much for cherishing, revering, looking up to; respecting; affirming, praising, trying to encourage, applaud and thanking someone one cares deeply for.

Maybe I'd have had a more kind response if I'd been--oh, never mind. Not my style to be disingenuous, even jokingly critical of someone I care for like you.

Sigh.

I realize you may think I'm a very frightening bird of rare plumage; and off-the-wall crazy-man; a loose canon or any number of other derogatory whatevers. That is your privilege.

It saddens me deeply.

But I can SOMEWHAT wrap my mind around possibilities for your feeling such.

I still choose to respect you, look up to you, cherish you and enjoy your contributions to TM and FR and for your prayers and caring.

There is something that has been kicking around in my head for a while. I have hesitated to address it in a thread. I didn't know how people would react. If they would think I wasn't serious enough or if I wasn't showing proper respect for the casualties and their memory or concern for their families.
I was also concerned about how it would reflect upon me. I'm going to present a scenario for your approval or discussion.
I don't know how many of you are familiar with an episode of the original Star Trek. The episode was titled "City on the Edge of Forever". Joan Collins was the guest star. She portrayed a woman named Edith Keeler. She was a social activist who, if she had survived an accident, would have become the founder of a pacifist organization, the organizations protests turned public opinion enough to allow Hitler's army to build missiles and win WWII. In order for history to work along the proper timeline, she would have to die.
Using that as background, consider a time in the future when an individual, aware of the WTC/Pentagon attacks and the pivotal time in the past. What if somebody was able to insert himself/herself into that event.
What if those events on 9/11 and the following effects and our response is preventing the rise of a global islamic empire. Difficult to fight, much blood spilled but maybe our duty, nonetheless.
A tall tale or something more? Written and presented with love and respect for all involved.

Would you even be "Q" if you were not a off-the-wall crazy-man...
