I would say, Israel would exist even without the Holocaust. That is based upon post-WWII colonial independence. They was no comparable relocation camp for Asian Indians and they got their independence.

I'm listening to a rerun of the final 30 minutes that I missed last night. One key item that Quayle mentioned is that the attack will be massive and synchronized to cause as much simultaneous trouble as possible. Gas stations will be detonated with preplaced, timed detonators. The object is to wipe out a huge amount of gasoline stores at once. Pipelines and refineries are targets as well. Since we haven't built any new refineries in over 20 years, our demand has grown to match or exceed capacity.

Blowing up a 40,000 gallon gasoline storage tank will make a pretty spectacular mess. Doing that in hundreds of cities at the same time will be damn hard to manage. Have a bicycle available for noncritical errands. Save your gas for a big grocery run...if there is anything on the shelves to purchase.

That's an excellent theory, a good analogy, and seems like a very real possibility. Also, did the reports yesterday say that there are 18,000 terrorists in our midst, and today it was stated that the terrorist alerts here went out to 18,000 law enforcement agencies? I wonder if there's any significance in that?

I've read up on Zarqawi and have also read that not only is he in Iran, he may not just be a part of Al-Q, in concert with Bin Laden, but he's also been in COMPETITION with him in recruiting. His more public beheading of Nick Berg may go along those lines. I know they hold him responsible for nearly everything going back to the assassination of our diplomat in Jordan.
