Another perceptive input here Indie. I am one of the 'shocked' parents that really reacted about the teachers showing it in school. I saw the video. I have the video. I still can't close my eyes at night without... ::shivers:: ....

I HONESTLY didn't see the other side of it until a former Marine called into a radio talk show where they were discussing what the teachers did.

His point was 'you can enlist to fight for this country at 16, 17 and 18. The kids need to see what they are fighting'.

Well, ok. I didn't think of it that way. But I'm still not too sure about the school showing that clip. I think the schools did it for sensationalism. If they have been covering the events accurately up until now, well then fine. They showed it in sequence. If they showed it for the hype...They I totally oppose it.

Did they show the Daniel Pearl clip? No. So why now?

I just did a search of the Providence newspapers and tv stations and couldn't find a thing about this, other than the article you posted. Seems curious enough that there would be something. Are you in the area? Keep us posted, especially if they every explain the "language problem".

I'm not in the area, I'm in Chicago. I was just googling some of the search terms that I use looking for unusual news stories.

The first story of the witness seeing the guys breaking in caught my attention. Then curious is as curious does, I googled the lighthouse and came across the Russian scientist who has pictures on his website of the lighthouse and power plant that I assume is nearby.

I tied on my tinfoil hat and put Pomham lighthouse in as a google news alert. Stopped in my tracks today when another incident came up so soon.

OAK RIDGE (WATE) -- The receipts are still coming in for the May 14th radioactive leak in Oak Ridge on Highway 95. Although no one was hurt, the incident closed roads and called for plenty of testing. And it came with a hefty price tag. [ truck leaks ]

The Department of Energy (DOE) won't release final numbers until the investigation is finished. But one official told 6 News it will be no less than $1 million and no more than $2.5 million.

The incident closed Highway 95, along with three access roads. Health physicists had to measure radiation exposure and the potential health effects.

Another big cost was renovating, replacing and rehabilitating structures, equipment and property.

Plus, there was the cost of tearing up and re-paving the contaminated road. Then the health physicists made a return trip to test the new road.

The whole process is expected to take about a month.

The next step is for the DOE to assemble a team to continue the investigation. Members will interview people and review documents to identify what went wrong, fix it and make sure it doesn't happen again.

If I were a young singer, I would stay far away from Maddona, first the name on her is........criminal.

And I have it in my head that she takes down competing singers..... Britney disappeared after that evil kiss.

If I were a terrorist, then my threat to her would be real, I wouldn't want her near my kids.
