Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City. With your help we can make this the most successful RNC ever and demostrate to the entire country why New York City is the premiere Host City. Be a part of the team and show the world why New York is the greatest City in the World. Volunteering for the RNC does not guarantee any business dealings with the RNC.

I just registered today. If I can get on board it'll be a first for me - kind of exciting!
I signed up to volunteer the first day they had that stuff up there :)
It'll be first time in the big apple (not counting the 1 hour drive through)
Thanks for the ping, Coleus! Sure wish I didn't live 2.5+ hours away. Will have to see if I can volunteer...
I'm going as an alternate delegate from AZ; hope to meet a lot of Freepers there.
I volunteered. Got the e-mail back from the Host Committee. Waiting for the Orientation meeting.
Same here. I'd give my eye teeth to volunteer but I believe they may be looking for people to work on a daily basis and that's impossible for me.
Take the bus.
This is NOT an offer, but I am curious about the level of interest in renting a Manhattan (Midtown) apartment during the convention. Are any non-NYC Freepers planning to attend? How much (approximately) do you expect to spend on lodging during the convention? Does anyone know if there is any sort of official site dedicated to this sort of thing?
I have a studio apartment in a fantastic location, and could be persuaded to give it up for a week, maybe. Still just thinking about it.
Please let me know if anyone has any information.
Thank you!

I was elected as a delegate to the NYC Convention this weekend. We are supposed to stay at the Hilton with the Florida, Pennsylvania and Texas Delegates, but I have reservations at the Waldorf Astoria.
The Hilton is $225 a night, so that will give you an idea on what you can charge.
Thanks for the info.
