I just registered today. If I can get on board it'll be a first for me - kind of exciting!

I signed up to volunteer the first day they had that stuff up there :)
It'll be first time in the big apple (not counting the 1 hour drive through)

I'm going as an alternate delegate from AZ; hope to meet a lot of Freepers there.

Same here. I'd give my eye teeth to volunteer but I believe they may be looking for people to work on a daily basis and that's impossible for me.

This is NOT an offer, but I am curious about the level of interest in renting a Manhattan (Midtown) apartment during the convention. Are any non-NYC Freepers planning to attend? How much (approximately) do you expect to spend on lodging during the convention? Does anyone know if there is any sort of official site dedicated to this sort of thing?
I have a studio apartment in a fantastic location, and could be persuaded to give it up for a week, maybe. Still just thinking about it.
Please let me know if anyone has any information.
Thank you!

I was elected as a delegate to the NYC Convention this weekend. We are supposed to stay at the Hilton with the Florida, Pennsylvania and Texas Delegates, but I have reservations at the Waldorf Astoria.

The Hilton is $225 a night, so that will give you an idea on what you can charge.
