Clearwater, FL (LifeNews.com) -- For a month and a half, the parents of Terri Schiavo have been prevented from visiting their daughter. They hope to change that by filing an emergency petition with Judge George Greer asking him to restore their visitation rights.
Greer, who previously authorized Terri's estranged husband Michael to remove the feeding tube allowing her to live, has agreed to hear the motion.
The hearing is scheduled for May 26 and Greer has allotted 2 hours to consider the motion filed by attorney Pat Anderson on behalf of Bob and Mary Schindler.
Shortly after receiving the motion, Judge Greer, who presides over the guardianship matter involving Terri, refused to hear it on an expedited basis stating he does not consider this an emergency matter.
Following the suspicious discovery of puncture wounds on Terri's arms on March 29, the Schindlers were turned away from visiting Terri by nursing staff who told them they were acting on Michael's orders.
Last week, Deborah Bushnell, one of Michael's lawyers, faxed a letter to Pat Anderson, an attorney for the Schindlers.
Bushnell said the Schindlers could visit their daughter, but only if they would agree to hire an off-duty police officer to accompany them. Should Terri's parents fail to meet the request, they would continue to be denied visitation rights.
"This family is enduring a nightmare, all because of a staged incident," Anderson said. "Terri's mother cannot even see her own daughter, comfort her, touch her or interact with her."
"It's amazing to me that anyone would think Terri Schiavo deserves this form of punishment," Anderson explained. "For her to be confined and isolated in this fashion is something I find cruel and completely contrary to Florida statutes. Death row inmates get better treatment."
Clearwater, Florida attorney Jan Govan has filed to run against Judge Greer in his bid for re-election.
Govan has an uphill battle. He has yet to begin fundraising while Greer already has over $55,000 on hand, according to the Florida state election web site.

The media has distorted this from the very beginning. They have put out so much misinformation it isn't even funny. They try to say that Terri's still in a coma, until we the people start writing our letters and calling to correct them. Everyone has taken a big pass on this until the word began to spread about Terri's true condition. Now there is support for Terri worldwide.
Thanks for the ping!
I hate to say it, too, but I think it. And, I don't understand why Michael's comments to media have been ignored by the courts - those of "punishing" the parents for whatever it is he seems to think they did to him in the beginning. I heard him, myself. He's being childishly vindictive.
O-from-F, Thanks for the ping. Lisa, I read your post and started to read one of the links. This is going to take awhile. It looks like a lot of valuable information. Thanks for posting it.

Attorney friends who have reviewed this case are irate! A woman's life is at stake!
The Schindlers' attourneys have in the past made some serious mistakes, probably in large measure as a result of failing to understand what sort of people Michael and Felos were. That having been said, there are clear signs of unjustifiable judicial bias against them. Unfortunately, the question of whether a particular judge should be recused from a case is left up to that judge himself; if a judge says he can try a case impartially, the system is generally bound to believe him.
Indeed, from what I understand, the Schindlers did once manage to get a case tried before a fact-finding judge other than Judge Greer. That other judge found in the Schindler's favor. Unfortunately, the appellate court ruled that the case should have gone before Judge Greer and remanded the case to his courtroom (where, of course, it was decided against the parents).
I'm still reading the stuff from the links you posted, but I have to say this now.
Now it all makes sense. I've been wondering why so many different people (judges, doctors, politicians, etc) have openly and publicly violated laws and moral standards in pursuit of Terri's death. I thought it was coincidental that they each had their own motivation, but I really thought that's all it was - coincidence. If Scientology is behind this, blackmailing people, it all makes sense. OMG, this is scary.
Back to my reading.
In announcing his ruling, Greer also ordered that Terri not be given anything orally. He didn't put that part of his ruling in the written order, but he did say it in court. I don't know why he didn't put it in the written order. Some might say because it's illegal, but so is the order to remove her feeding tube.
"That Greer does not consider this an emergency shows us yet again where his "loyalty" lies. Does not bode well for Terri or her parents, but we can continue to pray!"
Continued prayer, Ohioan from Florida.
