Please boycott the movie "Troy: that releases today. Brad Pitt, a rabid Bush hater and support of "Traitor" Democrat John Kerry needs to take a beating in this movie. If the movie does not do well at the box office Pitt is toast as an actor!
who is that? pardon my ignorance. the first shot looks like clint eastwood.
If I was not planning on going to see it, does that count as contributing to the boycott?
"Brad Pitt is married to Jennifer "Bush is an ----ing idiot" Anniston, by the way."
Darn...you took my line about Mr. Aniston before I could post it.
Perhaps I have this wrong: but if Mr. Kerry's policies about tax and stuff basically boil down to a redistribution of wealth, and "taxing the rich", why is it that so many of the liberal "(d)eletes" in Hollywood, who make so much bank, are falling all over him to get elected?
(Aside from the fact that they hate President Bush...)
Hit 'em hard enough in the pocketbook, and at least they might think. Right now they, the brainless, are falling all over themselves to vote to get their lives snuffed out by Arab terrorists. Hey, if that's what they want, bring it on! Nothing like dying by your own hand!!!
I never heard...did they succeed in their mission?
wolverine from xmen... some aussie
i thought it was Jennifer "look at my sweater" Anniston
I don't think they ever went to the Middle East. I believe it was just a bunch of BS. These people are vermin and low life!! They wouldn't know honesty if it stared them in the face!
The reviews seem to be saying this one's a stinker.
I don't know where the comment "the gods are left out" started. There's numerous references to the gods, what happens after death, temple shots and the like.
My wife loved the movie. She's a real Pitt fan and a conservative. He's buff for the movie and speaks lower, sometimes resembles Russell Crowe's voice.
The battle scenes are not up to Braveheart in gore, but are good in military strategy, The one on one scenes are okay but Brad's movies seem a little far fetched.
The guy that plays Hector did a great job. Real screen heroic presence and the brains behind the Trojan military.
The babes are window dressing. Some skin, but not r-rated stuff. Don't know where folks are getting the homo stuff, unless they think the skirts are doing it.
I'll leave the historical accuracy stuff to others except to say that I thought Achilles died earlier in the book.
Peter O'Toole is in the movie and some of the other actors playing kings do a good job. Orlando Bloom as Paris is a geek and not worth the whole thing, I'd have kicked his butt out the gate and Helen with him.
Of course Helen is pretty, but there's no there there. A twinge of guilt on the face near the end.
I recommend it for a mid day diversion. No Oscars, unless O'Toole gets a nod for supporting.
Now, because of this the wife no longer wants to see it and I'm telling her, "Darn, Honey...I really wanted to see that with you."
and for those of you planning Pitt's career eulogy there was a short, audio only trailer for Oceans Twelve due out in December.
From the reviews so far the movie does not look like it will do very well.
I don't think we have to worry about helping it flop. Teen girls might go to see Orlando Bloom, but from the commercials and previews it looks pretty stinky.
I don't think the Pitts will retire. They love the spotlight too much. Troy is the first production from their studio, Plan B.
That's too bad. I just heard some cuts from the sound track (James Horner) and I like the music. Perhaps I'll just get the sound track DVD and skip the movie.
8-)
If it didn't happen with Braveheart ...
