This has been a what shall we say? - well, an especially hard week. Even for Israel, which is accustomed to hard times. It was also especially brutal, even for a brutal, ongoing war.
First, there was the vicious murder of Tali Hatuel, in her eighth month of pregnancy, and her four daughters Hila age 11, Hadar, 9, Roni, 7 and Meirav, 2. Not only were they shot while driving on the highway, but when the car ground to a halt, their Arab-Moslem-Palestinian murderers came up and emptied their guns point-blank into Tali and each of her children - riddling their bodies with dozens of bullets - to make sure they were indeed dead and to better mutilate their bodies.
Then, one week later at a memorial ceremony for Tali and her daughters, at the spot on the road where they were killed, Arabs opened fire from houses in two directions on several hundred participants, including many women and children. The ensuing chaos screaming children, parents running for shelter with babies in their arms, people dropping down to the asphalt on the open highway and sheltering their children was terrifying.
The people at the ceremony, many of whom carried weapons, returned fire until a few minutes later, when the army went into action and began shelling one of the houses the Arabs were firing from. By a mind-boggling miracle, not a single Israeli was shot or hurt in this wild free for all, although all were out in plain view, directly in front of the shooting Arabs. Two out of the three Arab attackers were killed.
Several days later, the Israeli army entered a neighborhood in Gaza to destroy weapons laboratories producing mortar shells and rockets to fire into Israel. A large landmine exploded alongside one of the army half-tracks and the vehicle, loaded with munitions and dynamite intended for the demolition of the workshops, exploded, killing the six soldiers inside.
Before the IDF could reach them, the surrounding Arabs snatched bodies and body parts, dancing with and displaying them before the ever-present international television cameras (which did not hurry to televise the orgy). Within the hour, various Arab terrorist groups proudly announced that the body parts had been distributed throughout Gaza and would be returned only when Arab "demands" were met. Meanwhile, the fighting continued as Israeli soldiers went from house to house, searching.
Then, only two days later, the story was repeated as another landmine blew up another two Israeli vehicles. Another five dead.
By the time you read this, perhaps, hopefully, b'ezrat Hashem, all the bodies will have been found, collected and brought to Jewish burial. Perhaps.
Meanwhile, the voices of "peace" are already screaming loudly, as if pulling back, running away, refusing to stand up and defeat evil, will somehow, miraculously, produce a more peaceful world.
In Hebrew, one always places the noun the essence we are speaking of - before the adjective it comes to describe. We say "yeled tov" a boy who is good (rather than "a good boy"). The "boy" is the essence; he comes first. The description "good" follows.
But in the Torah, the description of Ishmael is out of order, backwards, just the opposite of normative Hebrew. He is not called an "adam pra'I" a man who is wild. He is called a pereh adam. He is first and foremost a pereh a wild creature - who is described as appearing in the form of adam - a man.
This is our enemy. This is who we are fighting. This is what we must remember. And not only must we remember. This is the enemy the entire world now confronts. The "Islamic fundamentalists", the terrorists, and all those who passively or actively support them they are all "wild creatures", messengers of death, out to destroy the world. As an editor of a Florida newspaper wrote:
"There may be a silent majority of peaceful Muslims around the world, but that did not save 3,000 people in the World Trade Center, the million gassed and butchered in Iraq, Iran, and other countries in the Middle East, the tens of thousands slain by Moslems in Eastern Europe and Asia, the hundreds blown to bits in the West Bank and Spain, or the four Americans shot, burned and hung like sausage over the Euphrates as a fanatical minority of Muslims did the joyful dance of death."
If the world does not recognize the imminent danger and take steps not only to protect itself, but to combat the danger, it may very well not only witness but experience - another holocaust.
Add in the rest of the world. Nick Berg. Slaughter of Christians in the Sudan, rampaging machete weilding Islamists in Thailand. Not recognizing the cohesion and barbarity of the enemy must be almost willful. Someone please send Colin Powell an EMail.
RELIGION OF PIECES.............or is that FECES?..........
Amen. . .think if I see another bumper sticker offering that 'War does not bring Peace' I may lose it. And as well, listening to Michael Berg's Father offer his ANSWER to his son's horrific death.
Thanks for sharing this.
A Jewish Wisdom bump ;^)
"listening to Michael Berg's Father offer his ANSWER to his son's horrific death."
He has lost his very own son, his flesh and blood and -- still --- he is not able to recognize who the enemy is, he watched the video? Saw the picture? heard the sounds? and still will not point one finger in the direction of the terrorists -- but instead point to Bush!!! It is the ultimate in blindness, that to go through this and still not be able to call things as they should be called and seen.
Exactly and for all the reasons you cite.
I am wondering where his wife; Nick Berg's Mother. . . weighs in on this; she is there, I believe; or maybe I missed something.
Of course, if Michael Berg 'recognized' and admitted who the real enemy, was here; he may feel compelled to place some of the blame upon himself for his son's death.
I doubt he will go 'there'.
Yes. I think I'll be using that quote on occasion.
Worthy of being repeated often.
By all means! I love and appreciate the Jewish 'Wisdomspeak' ;^) I have a friend, whose Jewish roots are long buried; she is so very wise. Others have noticed; and referenced her 'earthy common sense'; I know it is her Jewish 'roots' informing her. And yes, add or keep me; whatever the case - I did not notice - on your 'ping' list. . . Thanks S.J., Cricket

I have not heard One Word About Her.
Is she alive ?
I have no idea; thought maybe I just 'missed' her. Perhaps she is not alive; even if she were divorced; she would be mentioned: so maybe 'not alive' is the case.
You would think her status would at least, have come up somewhere by now.
Bttt
Not until I read this did I fully understand the hatred the Palesintians, all Arabs, and Islam has towards Israel . . (praying for the "Peace of Jeruselum) . .
Victor Mordecai has come to the inescapable conclusion that Islam poses the greatest threat ever to Judeo-Christian Western Civilization. This bottom line has become evidently clear as he follows history and developments along the seam lines separating between Islamic and non-Islamic lands. Islamic wars and confrontation are global in nature.
It is Islamic ideology that the world is divided into two: The Islamic Dar e-Salaam or House of Islam or House of Peace. Opposing this Dar e-Salaam is the Dar e-Harb or House of War into which all infidels fall. There can be no peace for Islam until the entire Dar e-Harb falls to the Dar e-Salaam. So this is a fight to the finish. Islam must be victorious or be vanquished. Since Islams victory calls on the inevitable destruction of all infidels, Victor Mordecai calls for world mobilization to terminate Islam as a system. Either the world deals with Islam, or Islam will deal with the world. In this sense, there is no difference between Islam, Nazism and Communism as exclusive world domination systems.
There are wars of genocide in which over two million black Christians have been slaughtered in the Sudan. Another six to eight million are slated for destruction. Another example of genocide is in various parts of the Indonesian archipelago in which over 300,000 East Timorese were killed since 1975. Over half a million of ethnically Chinese have been killed in Indonesia since the 1960s. Yet in response to these genocides, the world remains indifferent and silent. Other wars brewing involve Chinese-Islamic war in East Turkestan commonly known as Sinkiang Province in western China; a festering war in the south Philippines focused on Mindanao and Sulu Islands; a potentially nuclear war between India and Pakistan over Kashmir; Christian-Islamic confrontation in the Balkans, Lebanon, Egypt, Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore, and throughout Africa. Of course, last but definitely not least is the Judeo-Christian conflict with Islam in the Holy Land.
It is this last conflict which drew Victor Mordecai into the field of battle with Islam. Victors wife, an Egyptian born Jew taught him early in their relationship that in Egypt, there were three groups: the Jew or Yahudi, the Christians or Messihi and finally the Moslems, known as the gentiles, goyim or the pagans. I had hated Christians as a young man calling them the goyim. But my wife made it clear to me that the Christians are not goyim. We Jews and Christians have the same God, the same Bible, and the Messiah is not a Moslem, Buddhist or Hindu but a Jew who speaks Hebrew. The Jews and Christians are known in the Islamic lands as the People of the Book, not the peoples of the book.
Our only debate is about the specific status of Jesus of Nazareth.
The Islamic Hadith teaches that Jesus returns a second time. But this Jesus is slightly different than the one Christians revere. The Islamic Jesus returns a second time as a Muslim.
Yasser Arafat has been quoted as saying, Jesus was the first Palestinian Moslem revolutionary. Accordingly, Jesus kills the anti-Christ with a spear in a battle outside of the city of Lod. He proceeds to Jerusalem, where he participates in the morning Islamic worship on the Temple Mount with 400,000 Moslems. After this, he comes down from the Temple Mount, breaks all the crosses, destroys the churches of the Christians and the synagogues of the Jews. And on that day, all the Jews and Christians, the People of the Book, who have not converted to Islam, embraced Allah as God, and Mohammed as the greatest of all the prophets, will be put to the sword by Jesus the Moslem.
As we listen carefully to Islamic clerics preaching in mosques, we hear all too often: Kill the Jew, Kill the Christian. Kill the Israeli, Kill the American. All of this is uttered in one breath. By the way, this is to be done after the killing of the pagans such as the Hindus and Buddhists. So Islam is a global threat, and all mankind must unite to oppose and vanquish Islam. Moslems are good people, like the Germans or Russians, but Islam as a system is evil like Nazism and Communism.
looks to me like more evidence that the Germains are part of Assyria and and closely (historically) connected to the Iranian/Iraqi region. At least, that is what my father has been saying for years.
oops, thats Germans. A little too much Scotch tonight :-).
I have heard from several people the way to convert a pacifist is to punch them squarely in the face.
When they scream and want the police to arrest you they contradict their sensitive philosophies.
They are morons, nothing more.
They are also the same jerks who demand to know why GW did not magically prevent 911.
How?
