As a Muslim, i strongly condemn the beheading of Nick Berg

As an American [applied for citizenship here from Iran since 1999], and a Muslim i would like to strongly condemn the brutal beheading of a fellow American in the hands of Barbarians.

I also, condemn Islamic terrorism across the world and join millions of others in Iran and i'm sure other places across the middle east in condemning these horrible acts.

I moved here in 2000, i was a part of the student uprisings in 1999 in Iran. The very thing that the US is fighting right now in the middle east, are what students in Iran are fighting.

There is no difference between their fight and ours, nor the fight across the middle east between the modernized - moderate form of islam and the radical form.

Unfortunately, moderates have been unwilling to take arms or act aggressively against radical islam and when we have we've been condemned for human rights abuses.

That's all.. after reading some of the posts on here i just wanted to say i'm Muslim and i condemn these acts.

How the crap are you getting to that site? EVERYTIME I go there I get the "cannot connect to server" messages. I've been trying for weeks now and have never once connected to it.

Won't be a clear war. It never is all that clear; except for WW II [that was a little blurry around the edges, too]it never was in American history. What you going to do in the parking lot? Hurl Scripture verses at each other?

I think you understand the muslim poster's meaning by "I'll meet you in the parking lot". In a war between America and islam he chooses islam. Take it for what it is.

Most other Moslim countries became so by force.

Southeast Asia converted largely through trade.

"Well, this is certainly better than nothing. However, I still think Cyrus should be back in Iran fighting, not hanging out here and talking."

Some have. Some are. They got the idea from us. A lot of the military is still in the control of the mad mullahs. caution isn't a bad thing.

Over the years the low profile of Muslims has been the most common characteristic I have noticed. It would be surprising if they all suddenly got talkative.

It looks like the real moderates are starting to stand up and be counted. Time will tell.

From your home page:
Palestinians played a very crucial role in the Revolution that led to the fall of the Monarchy and which brought Ayatollah Khomeini to power in Iran. As far back as in beginning in 1969, Iranian revolutionaries were being trained in Palestinian camps throughout the Middle East. While the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine trained and armed the Islamic-Marxist terrorist group, Fadaiyaneh Khalgh, Arafat’s Fatah organization was training and supplying the Mujahedineh Khalgh and the future members of the Revolutionary Guards of Iran, including the Minister of the Guards later appointed by Khomeini. What is more, during the final days of the Islamic Revolution, the Palestinians were actually participating in the demonstrations against the Shah and went as far as killing Iranians in the streets of Tehran. Just days after Khomeini came to power in Iran, Arafat himself was boasting of how the “PLO trained within its camps 10,000 Iranians" and how they provided Khomeini and his followers with over 10,000 Kalashnikovs as well as Palestinian volunteers. It was these same Palestinian volunteers who continued to support the Mullahs by taking charge of the security in the ministries and the other public buildings of Iran, and it was those same terrorists, trained by the PLO, who were responsible for killing Iran’s finest. Soon after the night when the brave generals of the Imperial Iranian Armed Forces were shot by the terrorists and rolled in their blood on the roof of Alavi school, that same infamous leader of the terrorists, Yasser Arafat, and the enemy of the people of Iran, Khomeini, were congratulating and hugging each other with smiling faces.

And what did the Palestinians get in return for their crimes against the people of Iran? Amongst other things, they got a Palestinian embassy in Tehran and a branch office for the PLO in Khozestan; the unconditional support of the Islamic Republic for all terrorist elements within the PLO; the creation of several new radical organizations, such as Hezbollah, to support the same; and, finally, they got the military support of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the regular monthly financial backing of the Islamic Republic with millions of dollars of money stolen from the people of Iran.

Having got all the above as a result of the Mullah generosity with Iran’s wealth and resources, how did the Palestinians proceed to pay back the people of Iran? They repaid Iran by joining forces with Saddam Hossain and killing more Iranians in Iraq’s war against the people of Iran. Now, having gone through this war, where the Palestinians helped the Iraqis kill hundreds of thousands of Iranian soldiers, how did the Islamic Republic repay the Palestinians for their treachery? By continuing to support them with millions of dollars of money that should rightfully go to the poverty stricken people of Iran; by giving them a platform to promote their cause and their terrorist activities, whilst silencing all opposition to the clerical rule in Iran; by sending them millions of dollars worth of “humanitarian” aid and bringing their injured “fighters” to Iran for free medical treatment and rest, while leaving Iran’s sick and poor to find their medicinal needs on the streets of Tehran and to buy them at overly inflated Black Market prices.

Consider the possibility that the Palestinians, Saddam, and the Mad Mullahs of Iran are actually all on the same side, and that the Iran/Iraq war was a means for both sides to kill off people who they didn't particularly like. That the Mad Mullahs of Iran are an Arab-aligned occupying force whose great desire is the subjugate and finally exterminate the Aryan people of Iran?

A while ago I engaged a prolific poster who is muslim. It took an exchange of @ a dozen questions before he stated that allah is his first loyalty in all things.

Which comes first for you...God, or America?

America was way down his list. When I asked what that meant if a clear war between islam and America evolved.

If a clear war between America and Christianity evolved--and it's frightening plausible prospect, what with gay marriage and all that silliness...well, a lot of folks on FR might decide to fight for Christianity and against "America."

His answer..."I guess I'll meet you in the parking lot".

Tell someone to choose between God and you...and he might choose God.

Amazing concept, that.

Cyrus,
Your work as a true Muslim is not done. You must speak up against radicals and insist that others of your faith do the same.
Speaking to others in agreement is akin to the wringing of wrist of worriers who do nothing but complain. It is the true Muslim leader who will speak aloud and defeat the
radicals. Eventually,if this is not done, you will lose what you hold most dearly.

Dispute it, if you dare. Jihad: The fifth pillar of Islam.

The fifth pillar is Hajj. Learn before you write.

"If a clear war between America and Christianity evolved--and it's frightening plausible prospect, what with gay marriage and all that silliness...well, a lot of folks on FR might decide to fight for Christianity and against "America.""

When Christians start flying planes into buildings as part of a war mandated by Jesus give me a call.

When Christians start sawing off the heads of innocents while chanting the Lord's prayer give me a call.

"Tell someone to choose between God and you...and he might choose God." (is allah God?)

My question to him had nothing to do with me. If called to decide to war for allah against America, the country where he lives and where his children were born, he said he would follow allah's call. take it for what it is or make more silly non-parallel comments about, what did you call it..."a frightening plausible prospect"...of a war between Christians and America.

An op-ed piece in the NYT proffered the suggestion that Christianity led by a "true" believer, Bush, is comparable to islam led by a true believer like the mullahs. I thought that no sensble person could agree with that, I still do.
