Thank you. MOST people agree it was around 630 AD, but I believe Iranians prefer to think of the first time he ever preached as the birth of Islam. Like 20 years makes one iota of difference now?

I'm kind of worried about Churchillbuff. He was posting his usual defeatist BS actively today then suddenly went silent...about the time the Marines started their offensive.

I told him he should get the boot for re-posting the same defeatist trash each day. For Chuchll it's as if Berg never got beheaded. He was posting the same crap today about the Abu Grahib prison scandal. Like a dog coming back to sniff his old excrement.

An important element in any war is to demoralize the citizens. The side he's on is apparent.

I appreciate your comments although you apparently are a minute minority in the Islam Religion. With all due respect, these people will never change until they accept Jesus as their Savior. He is the only one that will free them of their hatred.
Pray for W and The Truth

Okay -- I see where you're coming from now. Thanks for the clarification, I guess.

Thanks for your comments.
I truly appreciate them, and I would ask that you encourage others to do the same, as it is in all our interests that Muslims participate in this condemnation.

Same side as our major TV networks that wallow in Abu Grahib coverage and lurid photos. But refuse to give proper attention to the video of poor Nick Berg being decapitated. They refuse to show material that exposes the truth about Islamic extremists.

"he guy DOES what we have all been wanting: Shows some guts declares that he is a Muslim and declares that what happened was wrong..."It's a social collectivist disease they should be leery of : some people concentrate so hard, for so long, on seeing the forest instead of the trees that they become unable to see the individual trees which make up that forest.

None of that matters. Everybody knows we could destroy every army and own the world any time. We just aren't interested in their crappy stuff. They know that and their laughter is nervous laughter and they are happy we know their stuff is crappy.

Those are WONDERFUL books. I can't recommend them enough.
I have loved them since I first read them as a child.
Thank you so much for reminding us of that part. I remember it VERY well, and I remember the Tarkheena.
Thank you, cake_crumb.

Well, this is certainly better than nothing. However, I still think Cyrus should be back in Iran fighting, not hanging out here and talking.

"in both Testaments is very clear that the path to Heaven is through your actions, not forced conversion."
I thought the ONLY path to heaven was through Christ, and all those that do not believe in Christ as thier one and only savior are hell-bound. Maybe you have a different version of the bible than me.

Thank you Cyrus. I remember from homeschooling with my son that Cyrus was a great man. What I remember most was that he liberated the Jews from their Babylonian captivity and let them go home to Jerusalem. (Of course, that was in the days before Islam -- I hope there are still some Iranians who are of as great a spirit as Cyrus.)

"Someday "Godless Atheist" a Muslim will be holding a sword to your throat and make you accept Islam or die. That is what history shows. "
Funny. I was stationed in Turkey for 15 months in the USAF and spent a lot of time off-base with Turkish Muslims. Not one every expressed even the slightest dislike for me, Christians, or anyone else.
You really should get out more and meet a few Muslims who hold other views than the terrorists.

Unfortunately, moderates have been unwilling to take arms or act aggressively against radical islam... Why do you think that is?
...and when we have we've been condemned for human rights abuses.
There's got to be more of a reason than that.
If there are enough of you, then you should all speak out. Otherwise radical Islam will win.

"Over the years the low profile of Muslims has been the most common characteristic I have noticed. It would be surprising if they all suddenly got talkative."
A while ago I engaged a prolific poster who is muslim. It took an exchange of @ a dozen questions before he stated that allah is his first loyalty in all things. America was way down his list. When I asked what that meant if a clear war between islam and America evolved. His answer..."I guess I'll meet you in the parking lot".
I suspect that's the more common sentiment.
