As a Muslim, i strongly condemn the beheading of Nick Berg
Cyrus ^ | 5/12/04 | Cyrus

Posted on 05/12/2004 12:53:03 PM PDT by Cyrus the Great

As an American [applied for citizenship here from Iran since 1999], and a Muslim i would like to strongly condemn the brutal beheading of a fellow American in the hands of Barbarians.

I also, condemn Islamic terrorism across the world and join millions of others in Iran and i'm sure other places across the middle east in condemning these horrible acts.

I moved here in 2000, i was a part of the student uprisings in 1999 in Iran. The very thing that the US is fighting right now in the middle east, are what students in Iran are fighting.

There is no difference between their fight and ours, nor the fight across the middle east between the modernized - moderate form of islam and the radical form.

Unfortunately, moderates have been unwilling to take arms or act aggressively against radical islam and when we have we've been condemned for human rights abuses.

That's all.. after reading some of the posts on here i just wanted to say i'm Muslim and i condemn these acts.

This is not a Muslim thing, millions of Muslims live life without a thought of mass murder. This is a culture of death, a sub-set of a faith fouled by death and hate and destruction.

What makes the situation so bad, is that unlike Cyrus not many will speak out and condemn forthright the evil these animals do. They always qualify the actions such as "I don't approve of mass murder etc., but those Americans had it coming because they support the Jews who murder etc. It's the same old "Muslims do not condemn other Muslims" mentality.

I have known and talked to Egyptians and Pakistanis and Iranians and even some Moslem Hindus. The Iranians (2 of them) are the only ones I could actually discuss religion and politics with, the only ones who had any curiosity in the matter and did not feel compelled to convert me on the spot.

"Moslem Hindus"

Huh? Contradiction in terms, there. Islam and Hinduism are completely different religions. One cannot be both.

Zoroastrianism has provided many ideas found in Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.

Angels, one Supreme Being, a religion based on ethical values, a last judgement, a resurrection of the dead, the earth as the site of a struggle between the forces of good and evil, and the cocept of a saviour can all be found in Zoroastrianism.

Zoroastrianism is the world's first montheistic religion.

( Muhammad)....."He authorized deception,"

I think that if there is one quality (?) of Islam that I detest the most, it is the condoning of the use of deception. It is honorable to be dis-honorable? This is counter to Western thought. It is also one of the foundations of Marxism.

Thank you, Cyrus.

The moderates have got to find a way to rescue your faith from the inevitable catastrophe that the radical islamists are determined to bring.

Americans are notoriously slow to anger, but eventually some action will fill us with the terrible resolve that Admiral Yamamoto spoke of in 1941. After that, all bets are off.

Cyrus thank u for your condemnation but I also am asking how u can embrace such a belief system like islam. a few people already asked and u skirted the issues let me give afew examples.

Qur’an 5:33 “The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His Prophet and make mischief in the land, is to murder them, crucify them, or cut off a hand and foot on opposite sides...their doom is dreadful. They will not escape the fire, suffering constantly.”
Tabari VIII:122/Ishaq:515 “The Prophet gave orders concerning Kinanah to Zubayr, saying, ‘Torture him until you root out and extract what he has. So Zubayr kindled a fire on Kinanah’s chest, twirling it with his firestick until Kinanah was near death. Then the Messenger gave him to Maslamah, who beheaded him.”
Bukhari:V4B54N487 “The Prophet said, ‘The Hell Fire is 69 times hotter than ordinary worldly fires.’ So someone said, ‘Allah’s Apostle, wouldn’t this ordinary fire have been sufficient to torture the unbelievers?’”
Bukhari:V4B52N260 “Ali burnt some [former Muslims alive] and this news reached Ibn Abbas, who said, ‘Had I been in his place I would not have burnt them, as the Prophet said, “Don’t punish with Allah’s Punishment.” No doubt, I would have killed them, for the Prophet said, “If a Muslim discards his Islamic religion, kill him.”’”
Qur’an 48:27 “If the Muslims had not been there, We would have punished the unbelievers with a grievous torture.”
Qur’an 9:5 “When the sacred forbidden months for fighting are past, fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, torture them, and lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”
Ishaq:550 “The Muslims met them with their swords. They cut through many arms and skulls. Only confused cries and groans could be heard over our battle roars and snarling.”
Qur’an 5:37 “The [Christian] disbelievers will long to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out there from; and theirs will be an enduring torture.”
Tabari IX:6 “The chief sheep tender sent out spies to obtain intelligence. But they came back with their joints dislocated. When he asked what had happened, they said, ‘We saw white men on black horses. Before we could resist, we were struck as you see us now.”
Ishaq:595 “The Apostle said, ‘Get him away from me and cut off his tongue.””
Ishaq:312 “Umar said to the Apostle, ‘Let me pull out Suhayl’s two front teeth. That way his tongue will stick out and he will never be able to speak against you again.’”
Ishaq:316 “Following Badr, Muhammad sent a number of raiders with orders to capture some of the Meccans and burn them alive.”
Qur’an 8:12 “Your Lord inspired the angels with the message: ‘I will terrorize the unbelievers. Therefore smite them on their necks and every joint and incapacitate them. Strike off their heads and cut off each of their fingers and toes.”
Tabari VII:133/Ishaq:387 “When Muhammad saw Hamzah he said, ‘If Allah gives me victory over the Quraysh at any time, I shall mutilate thirty of their men!’ When the Muslims saw the rage of the Prophet they said, ‘By Allah, if we are victorious over them, we shall mutilate them in a way which no Arab has ever mutilated anybody.”
Tabari VIII:96 “A raiding party led by Zayd set out against Umm in Ramadan. During it, Umm suffered a cruel death. Zyad tied her legs with rope and then tied her between two camels until they split her in two. She was a very old woman. Then they brought Umm’s daughter and Abdallah to the Messenger. Umm’s daughter belonged to Salamah who had captured her. Muhammad asked Salamah for her, and Salamah gave her to him.”

You are correct.

Iranians are NOT Arabs. Arabs speak a Semitic Language.

Iranians speak Farsi, a language related to Sanskrit and hence to all other Indo-European Languages like the Slavic, Celtic, Greek, Latin, Germanic, etc. languages.

I suggest that everyone who believes that Muslims are not actively condemning terrorism do a Google search on "muslims condemn terrorism," and then read some of the huge number of sites.

It's simply not true.

I appreciate your condemnation of this act of barbarity. I have a question or two for you. How religious are you? Are you a muslim in good standing? How do you interpret the following verses?

Seize them and put them to death wherever you find them, kill them wherever you find them, seek out the enemies of Islam relentlessly. (Sura 4:90)

Fight them until Islam reigns supreme. (Sura 2:193)

Cut off their heads, and cut off the tips of their fingers. (Sura 8:12)

Allah threatens the Muslim who does not make war on the "unbelievers" with death. (Sura 9:39)

I would like to believe that there aren’t 1 billion plus people subscribing to a religion that when practiced as intended want to see me dead because I am a Christian and will not submit to their superiority, but that’s the way it looks to me. I believe that you, as a muslim who is willing to condemn this inhuman act, are uniquely qualified to answer my questions. I will freely admit that I am one of the people that DLfromthedesert was talking about who are starting to lean towards condemning all muslims because I don’t see how this philosophy of subjugation and hatred towards “unbelievers” can peacefully coexist with other religions. In this, I sincerely would like to be proven wrong.

Zoroastrianism is the world's first monotheistic religion.

It is believed the Magi, the "Three Wise Men from the East", were Zoroastrians. I hope so. There are some aspects of Zoroastrianism to Christianity. Perhaps Christ spent some of his pre-evangelist time in Persia.
