It is. And I read that almost all the troops have digital cameras. Most of them, of course, use them for tourist type pictures to send home.

The military investigator who set off a firestorm of controversy with his damaging report accusing U.S. MPs of abusing detainees at Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison is said to be "bittered" over what he regarded as the Army's mistreatment of his own father after World War II.

Not only do some of us recognize their voices, sight unseen, but in most cases, we already know what they're going to say!
LOL.......is that wrong?!

The Kerry picture was from May 6. No doubt his Botox is wearing off and wrinkles are reappearing as Hillary has begun to lick at his heals.

Yeah, those 7 were really rather HAPPY getting those photos made and it didn't look as if they were under any command.

Yes. You are right. I think Rummy bought them at Best Buy using his personal credit card and had them sent via FedEx to the MPs. I am also guessing they were personally inscribed by him.

Problem is, Kapinski needs much more than a wrist-slapping "career ender" IMO, she needs to be cashiered and, possibly, to spend some time at Ft. Leavenworth learning first hand what it's like to be on the other side of stockade.

It's too late, they blew it, and Karpinski is the poster-lesbian for this event. She has always been my favorite poster lesbian

Oh yes!!!The Taguba Report has been wildly misrepresented. From what Taguba is saying this morning, his report in no way implicates Sanchez or Miller, much less Rumsfeld, Myers, and the president.

But I can't believe she'd miss this inquisitionRummy caught her with her hand in the cookie jar last week so she's probably waiting for that to die down before mouthing off again.

"Senator finding this issue being used as fundraising platform for the Kerry campaign "appalling"!!"It was Senator Imnahoff (R) Oklahoma who first brought it out and then Senator Allard agreed with him as to how appalling it was that Kerry's campaign was using it as a fundraiser.

What is it about "softening up" a prisoner that is inhumane? Isn't promising a vanilla ice cream cone in 135 degree heat softening up a prisoner? I don't buy into the premise of some of the questioning.Today has established firmly that the photos we have seen were taken against the rules, and the conduct in them was done on the volition of this band of rogues. It had nothing to do with authorized treatment of these prisoners in order to "soften them up".
