Did Hillary reveal who leaked report in her questioning of Rumsfeld today?
Senate Armed Services Committee ^ | 5/7/04 | Senate Armed Services committee

In today's testimony before the Armed Services Committee Hillary Clinton may have revealed the source of the leak of the report. Please have a look at the relevant snippets of the transcript from today.

I guess my theory is this: If she isn't behind the leak, she knows exactly who is.

I found another reference straight from Rumsfeld stating it was both the report AND photos that were leaked to the press before they reached the Pentagon:

Rumsfeld: What was not known is that a classified report with photographs would be given to the press before it arrived in the Pentagon.

other photos that are STAGED

Many of the British 'soldier' photos were stages, proved to be misrepresentations. Wrong uniforms, wrong weapons, wrong equipment for the British currently in Iraq. Also, a female webmaster said many of them were staged, with porn actors, from her porn website. Her website has since been removed.

And that is exactly what the photos look like. They look posed.

I agree completely with this post.

Still, not smart, and most appear to be against the guidelines we have for prisoner treatment ...

That there was an even greater criminal act being committed, the illegal release of evidence in a criminal matter, could really turn into a "WaterGate" type event if any investigative reporters really get onto this - depending, of course - on what they discover.

Could this be why the New York Times outed Hackworth for giving the photo's to CBS????

Rumsfeld: What was not known is that a classified report with photographs would be given to the press before it arrived in the Pentagon.

Does this mean I was correct in my thinking they were leaked together?

I am so confused at this point, I'm not sure what to think

I will bet Ted Kennedy and Christopher Dodd abuse people worse than that when they make their so called "Sandwich"
they have been famous for over the years.

I was thinking they were leaked together, but then I noticed a reference to Hersh, and I think he got the report, but CBS got the pictures.

Someone was a busy little bee behind the scenes...Bottom line, both leaked, it appears, but not every journalist given everything right off the bat.

So when exactly were the prison photos taken? They weren't posed & taken when "the Serpent" was in Iraq were they? Hillary & her minions are not on the other side of the camera are they? Sure would explain how her Thighness knew so much about them.

Naw. My tin-foil hat's screwed on too tight. :)

More fodder for the media. So what if the docs/pics are evidence in an ongoing investigation; so what if it gets American soldiers killed. More fodder:

Military officials told NBC News that the unreleased images showed US Soldiers severly beating an Iraq prisoner nearly to death, having sex with a female Iraqi prisoner, and acting 'inappropriately with a dead body.'

You are absolutely right. Rummy HEARD Hitlery LOUD AND CLEAR. His comment to her spotlighted it and put it in big bold print.

I strongly believe this this is not the last time he'll be considering her statement, and his complete abhorrence of leaks is well known.

I'll be really, really surprised if the tracks of those liable for this criminal leaking can get away with it this time.

Darn it all... I don't have more time to hunt for this GC stuff. I am certain that the word "grave" part of description of violations that would merit the "war criminal" designation. I have not been able to recover that due to connection difficulties, and I've gotta go soon.

Sorry all.

I already conjectured that--yesterday. lol.

Tin Foil Alert!!!!!

I just thought of something.....

Remember back to last November, around Thanksgiving. Who, besides President Bush made a trip to Iraq (after she left Afghanistan)? These allegations started around October and November, got reported by the Brass in January and March. Could a certain person's trip have been more than just a 'listening' tour?

Oh, I agree that you posted the alert about this during the live thread. Kudos for that, and for the "pastey white pic" of Hitlery at the microphones after that that I put in #421.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to recover the "violations of Geneva Conventions" stuff I discovered a couple days ago, and have referred to throughout these last 20 or so posts. As I said in #451, I know the word "grave" (as in "grave violation", possible) is part of it, but doing a search on grave gives you many hits referring to dead guys instead of seriousness. Perhaps someone else can discover the passages that seem to indicate the release of the photos for publicity is a worse violation than the acts themselves were. ...

I have to go now.

I did a google search on 'geneva' 'convention' 'grave' on 'freerepublic.com' and got some hits. You might check these google/FR links to see if any have the info you want:

Well, the day didn't exactly get off to an auspicious start when I threw up in Penn Station early this morning...

CLINTON: But, Mr. Secretary, in January 2002, when you publicly declared that hundreds of people detained by U.S. and allied forces in Afghanistan do not have any rights under the Geneva Convention, that was taken as a signal.

And it is clear in looking through the number of investigations that are currently ongoing, that it wasn't just this particular battalion but others that did not receive appropriate training and information about their responsibilities with respect to detention or the Geneva Convention

RUMSFELD:Second, the decision that was made by the president of the United States that you referred to was announced. And in the announcement it was said that the Al Qaida in Guantanamo that are captured in the world, mostly in Afghanistan, would be treated consistent with the Geneva Convention. That is a fact.

I was recalling this exchange as well and went back to read it again. Rumsfeld exposed the Beasts attempt to deceive and twist the truth, IMO.
