Rumsfeld: What was not known is that a classified report with photographs would be given to the press before it arrived in the Pentagon.

Does this mean I was correct in my thinking they were leaked together?

I am so confused at this point, I'm not sure what to think

I was thinking they were leaked together, but then I noticed a reference to Hersh, and I think he got the report, but CBS got the pictures.

Someone was a busy little bee behind the scenes...Bottom line, both leaked, it appears, but not every journalist given everything right off the bat.

RAY SUAREZ: ...Seymour Hersh, how long ago was the report from General Taguba finished?

SEYMOUR HERSH: It was filed in February.

RAY SUAREZ: So it floated around for a while before it broke in the news? Where has it been all this time?

SEYMOUR HERSH: It still hasn't been officially released. And it certainly didn't make to it the higher echelon of the Pentagon, not only the chairman as you heard, General Myers, but also Don Rumsfeld said he didn't know much about it.

RAY SUAREZ: So was it the surfacing of the pictures that sort of pulled it into the spotlight?

SEYMOUR HERSH: You bet.
