Good grief; Warner says "as we watch these facts as they unfold."
He's lying; they aren't interested in the FACTS; this is grandstanding.

Sure. When the US reached the Nazi concentration camps, most of the SS Guards they found were executed on the spot, to give one example.
And rightly so, I might add.

What do Warner's questions about the impact have to do with the purpose of this "investigation"?
To: TomGuy
Five minutes per questioner?
Well, if that's the case, the Dems questions (which will be statements, of course) will be 4:30 minutes long!

What do Warner's questions about the impact have to do with the purpose of this "investigation"?It won't be just Warner.
To: Steve_Seattle
If we had just shot em on the spot, that would have been the end of it. Why even take prisoners in the first place if this is the grief you're going to get?

"We have a little dilemma here - the justice system gives the accused rights (i.e., the alleged abusers)- ...."
This is blood red "politics", nothing more. The liberals think they have thrown chum in their midst like circling sharks around Rummy, they have been after him since he was appointed!

I don't care what Rantel says; Bush says he's staying. Another conservative host here last night was also saying that this could sink Bush. I don't know, myself, but I do not think most Americans agree with the FReepers who think these atrocities are no big deal. This could be so serious that Bush will have to clean house at the top, who knows??

Warner: rummy's phrase "we are goin to watch American democracy in action." In the meantime, the impact of the facts affecting our relationship with other nations, foreign policy. What is the impact? Will it affect transition June 30? Will it have impact other nations in coalition and chances of additional nations?
Rummy: tough questions. No on can know precisely what will unfold. We have seen no shift in coalition countries. re future coalition countries, depends on another UN resolution. Will not have any effect on determination to have Iraqis assume sovreignty June 30.
We have been disadvantaged by false allegations and lies by terrorists and terrorist orgs. Wehave taken a beating for allegations, now understandably for things that did happen.

If these prisoners were killed in a firefight with American soldiers, instead of captured. Nobody would have said a word.I've said this on other threads. My nephew is in the Marines and is going back to Iraq for the second time shortly. He told his mother in so many words that he is giving the enemy no quarter, and this was before all this flak.
