"It was our position that they would be released anyway by another organization if we did not do it. "Yeah?
So who ELSE did CBS give them to, because nobody ELSE had them!
BTW, I just saw the England girl's attorney on TV; she's completely innocent, ya know? Just following orders.
BTW, he said she joined the reserves as a career path........"to get money for college."

yes one and the same. Hung onto her seat by the skin of her teeth in 2002 by scare mongering the sugar farmers in LA.

You're the most negative individual I think I've ever encountered - real life or online.
I remember you from a Bob Woodward thread weeks ago.
Your "woe is us - all is lost" whining is wholly self serving.
To: faithincowboys
I just keep hearing Rather tell O'Reilly that he thought Clintoon was "basically an honest man".
That statement right there says all anyone...even a political neophyte..needs to know about Rather and the Liberal Media bias.

(John Kerry's been AWOL for two decades on issues of National Security!)
To: commish
Blather pretty much inferred Rummy will resign.
To: Howlin
Well like someone said earlier...Hitlery's publishing company is owned by Viacom who also owns CBS.
Gee I WONDER how Hitlery knew so much about that secret report?

Do you think this is good?? This is treason. The media REALLY wants us to lose. Fred Barnes just suggested that Rummy might have to fall on the sword. If Rumsfeld goes--Bush loses in Nov. This is real tough and to put a happy face on this is just wishful thinking.
To: texasflower
Yes :-)
It was the start of a thread.
To: Barlowmaker
Well folks, T-minus seven minutes until we see three alphabet evening news broadcasts open with the creeps disrupting the Senate hearing with their anti-Rummy, anti-war chants.Red diaper doper babies.
To: WestCoastGal
No, I didn't see that. I turned the channel pretty much right after the last word was spoken.
It's nice to know that Cunningham did that.

Correct. The American people obviously are seeing the bias in the media, now more than they ever have. Not to say that there still isn't work to be done. But there have been a couple of doom and gloomers on this thread. You can usually count on the same screen names to do it.
To: txradioguy
Ugh...I remember when I was a kid helping my friend's parents put up Landrieu for Mayor signs in New Orleans.
I guess in some small way I'm partially responsible.......
To: txradioguy
CBS sure is catching a lot of "exclusives" lately, aren't they?
To: faithincowboys
Did you miss the ABC poll where 70% of Americans think Rumsfeld should stay?
You were all doom and gloom over the "60 Minutes" interview with Bob Woodward, but nothing happened.
Calm down and relax.
To: Rebelbase
Sounds like you've reformed. Can't blame you for "youthful indescretions" anyway. And besides your juvenile record is sealed when you turn 18 anyway! LOL! *wink*

I trust you were being sarcastic.. Rumsfeld should not resign for the incidents as now reported. The fact that the incidents were identified, investigations made, officers and soldiers relieved, disciplined and others pending court marshall shows the the superiority of our form of government over the enemy. The incidents are an outrage, but their are not comparable to Saddam or Mei Lai as has been stated by CBS. IMO the present outrage is largely political. The dems, the left, the media are simply using this as ammunition to topple Bush. If Clinton were the president, these incidents would be minimized, described as aberrations and the military justice system was working and would correct the problem.
If Rumsfeld either resigns or is asked to resign by Bush, it will only embolden the left, for further attacks. Also, no amount of apologies or actions against the perpetrators will improve our standing in the Arab world where far worse than this is done to prisoners throughout the region.
Our country is riven with weakness from within and the constant internal selfflagulation makes it almost impossible to fight and win wars over an extended period. If Rummy falls and therefore Bush loses, Kerry will solve our problems in ways I will let you imagine. A Russfeld resignation would be a tremendous morale hit to our troops and a tremendous boost to the enemy. It would also depress the conservative vote base for Bush IMO.
