***I then made a gesture that wasn't becoming of me as a gentleman

Nelson: When did you see the photos.
Rumsfeld first saw undoctored photos last night (not those in the press).
It was brought up with president in a meeting; Myers doesn't recall exactly when the meeting was was, probably late January, early February.
Nelson: What did pres say you should do?
Rumsfeld: Believes it was more of an information meeting -- only one-dimensional at that time, no video, no color. If there is a failure it is Rumsfeld's for no knowing there were 100s of these things. He certainly didn't give the Pres a briefing about photos he hadn't seen.
Nelson: What are your instructions from Pres to inform him of matters such as this?
Rumsfeld: Clearly Sec'y of Def must figure what does the Pres need to know. He meets with Myers weekly and go over things to choose what the Pres needs most. May be contingency plan, personnel problem, anything.

Lord in heaven, how I loathe these people.

Joe needs to change parties I think he's doing it right now
But it would be a wash due to McCainiac's disposition to tilt left when he's feeling lonely.

Graham did a good job.
I wonder if Rumsfeld's comment, "if anyone did anything wrong, it was me!" will be held against him.
Never mind.... :) it will.

Follow up:Iraqi Prisoner Abuse
Most Dismayed, But Few Call for Rumsfeld's Resignation
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/Polls/iraq_prisoner_poll_040507.html May 7, 2004 Most Americans express dismay about the abuse of Iraqi detainees by U.S. soldiers, and the nation divides on whether the Bush administration sought at first to investigate the scandal or to cover it up.
Yet more than six in 10 also see these incidents as isolated, and say they should not cost Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld his job.

Video?? Yes, the other day Jim Miklaszewski, NBC'c Pentagon correspondent stated that there are videos yet to come out.
Lindsay Graham did us all a service by making sure this is brought out now before they show up on TV.

well, I do not think he is a mole. He is a supporter of the War. He has always been outspoken. He is able to be so today because he is a dem and is not liable to be attacked and run out of town by saying what he said. But I am not meaning to use any disparagement or broad brush on him and if you saw it that way, well, that was not my intention. And BTW I sort of like Jews who look out for Israel. I don't see them as "moles" and think that whole line of thinking is bigoted.

I prefer you make a 4 minute political speech follwed by a convoluted 1 minute attempt to turn it into a question. For examples just rewind the video.

I think the media and the dims have 'waaaay overreached here. This smacks of a witchhunt, and I think/hope/pray the American people know it.
