She's exponentially better than Ted Kennedy (lifetime ACU 51 vs. 3). As for her liberal leanings, blame the voters of Maine, not the Republican Party.

You are so insensitive. ; )

AND she deserves it. Good grief, she is pathetic.

Rymmy : "We're running around with PEACETIME constraints in a period of war, with legal constraints, in the Information Age, while PEOPLE are running around with DIGITAL CAMERAS and taking these...PICTURES...and turning them over...AGAINST THE LAW...to the MEDIA!" I'm glad he said that
Now WHY isn't ANYONE asking who leaked them???

So you will question the motivation of any Jew (not just Sen. Lieberman)anytime he makes a strong statement in support of a politician with a favorable view of Israel. Again, I disagree.
Sometimes an individual can take a moral position for its own sake.

We do have trolls, but I don't believe TrueBeliever9 is one of them.

Of course, this is a legal matter and it is EVIDENCE. It shouldn't have been released BUT, hey it is NEWS, and some idiot who is a CBS SOURCE, didn't care about the law if something could be released that would HURT our MILITARY and hurt our President and the Republican Administration!!

Akaka: Civilian contractors were found wandering around Abu Graib unsupervised. What is there role? Who monitors and supervises.
Rumsfeld: 37 contractors responsible to mil int who hired and have the responsibility.
Smith(?): Most of the contractors are retired military; they are not in a supervisory role, in fact forbidden from that.
Myers: Actually 27 contractors. Teams of three filled out with contractors.

You missed the entire point. What the guards did hurt US. Not the Iraqi's.

I want to know how people wearing those t-shirts even got into the hearing! Maybe they put them on after they got in.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld testifies before the Senate Armed Services Committee (news - web sites) on Capitol Hill in Washington, May 7, 2004. Rumsfeld, in his opening remarks said, 'I feel terrible about what happened to these Iraqi detainees. They are human beings. They were in U.S. custody. Our country had an obligation to treat them right. We didn't, and that was wrong. So to those Iraqis who were mistreated by members of the U.S. armed forces, I offer my deepest apology.' Wouldn't it be grand if it were Clarke or Wilson? Either could have a mole in Iraq.

And to those who did release them, what was their motive?
To: All
My take: Abuse was wrong - was reported by soldier- investigated;
Photos leaked to press by mole seeking to destroy Bush/war effort;
Real problem is bull dykes in military.
To: McGruff
The one thing missing from that picture is a protest warrior with a big sign that says:
STFU
To: mrs tiggywinkle
"**SecDef Rumsfeld just said SOMEONE BROKE THE LAW by releasing the photos to the press!! You can bet if/when the leaker is found, s/he will find a very difficult time. And with good reason. **
GO RUMMY!"
LOL Yup! Smack-Down Rummy style! Go Rummy Go!
