[history]
Lynndie England loved a good storm. During tornado warnings her mother would have to drag her back inside the house. Her teachers say she wanted a career as a storm-chaser.
Now, the perfect storm has found her.
From hometown hero to the reviled woman holding the leash . . . US Reserve
soldier Lynndie England with an Iraqi prisoner in Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison.
Photo: The Washington Post
The petite 21-year-old army reservist from the quiet crossroads town of Fort Ashby in West Virginia is the most visible character in the controversy over the abuse of Iraqi detainees at Abu Ghraib prison. She is the thumbs-up girl, the pixie-ish, T-shirted soldier, smiling, pointing and posing for the camera with naked and humiliated inmates.
Soon after the release of the photographs, Terrie England was on the telephone with her daughter while watching television.

"She shouldn't have been processing prisoners in the first place. She was trained as an administrator, a paper-pusher. At night, she would walk across the prison yard to go over and see her buddies. They were the ones doing the interrogations."
I ran out of gas. I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake! A terrible flood! Locusts! It wasn't my fault, I swear to God!

That little slip of a girl isn't strong enough to "abuse" the man on the floor...you can see he's way bigger than her. If she's guilty, she deserves to be court martialled....but if this was staged, the public deserves to know about it.

Why no, really, I have NO idea how that leash attached to a naked Iraqi got into my hand! I swear!
Thank you, Private England and all the people up the chain of command up to Brigadier General KRAPinski, for humiliating the United States Army and the United States in General. A representative from Al-Jazeera will be calling your agent soon regarding who will play you in their "Movie of the Week," entitled "I Survived the Infidel Crusader Torturers."
Maybe Lifetime can make a movie about Private England and how she was harassed into doing all these horrible things by the male-dominated military hierarchy. /sarcasm

The leash-bound is probably one of the "people" who shredded live innocents. His eternity in hell has begun on earth.
Regardless, it isn't up to us mortals. She'll pay a price too.

"She was trained as an administrator How much "training" do you need before you don't do crap like this?

You forgot "I was just holding it for a friend" (which seems to be appropriate for this photo).

He was probably being brought back from the showers. I don't have pity for people like this. Not when they are killing our troops.

This is Clinton military and the product of social promotions.
We need more active duty troops though. Elminating social prommotions and not relying reserves so much would lower the probability of these kinds of acts happening.

you don't know that. it's a pretty good guess that not everyone rounded up was really a bad guy.
given how officially puritanical the Muslim culture is, given that our male soldiers have been told to steer clear of their women, how the h--- did the military let women soldiers have anything to do with male prisoners?
this plays right into the propaganda about the USA being debauched. and some of us are, obviously. here's proof.
one thing I hate more than evil people is stupid evil people. taking pictures. every shot is another shot at an American soldier somewhere.
