I was just outside my building in Old Towne, Alexandria, VA(suburb of Washington, DC) and noticed 2 low flying F-16 fighter jets fly by. I remember this happening about a month ago, but that, I eventuqally found out was for a photo shoot. Today's weather(gloomy/rain) is definitely not optimal for photo ops. Have searched the web, no results...

I agree! Now, if you see an AIM-9 let loose from a pilon, then get alarmed.

I'm saying they flew over here. I didn't rush to the window so didn't see a direction, but they basically flew directly overhead at low altitude, based on the noise.
There's no airfield at NASA Goddard.

Hey Camle:
Only someone who has been reading FR over the last week would be able to appreciate your post. Very funny, to say the least.
I'm still chuckling about the turd paper comment I read in that thread.

Are you making fun of me?
Yes, there was a hugh air show this weekend. A stunt pilot also died in in a crash during practice on friday (Grhs).
I got a tour of the USS Enterprise, the "BIG E", I have a pic of me sitting in the captains chair so there! I also had VIP tickets to watch the show under a tent with a catered lunch. :P
The highlight of the show for me (besides the B-2 spirit) was when I paused to tie my shoe in front of the VIP tent full of the admirals and generals and a SEAL charged me and made me "move along!", I fell over whilst trying to get up real fast...(don't ask how I knew he was a SEAL).
I'll be back to check this thread in a few minuets, if anyone else makes fun of me I shall continue my attempted thread hijacking.

To: IYAAYAS
You fell? You must not be John Kerry. Did you say to the SEAL, "Don't you know who I am?"
To: CAbornAmerasianinDC
There is a small plane (a J3, I believe) towing a banner around Atlanta. It's for GMAC Mortgage, if I am reading it right.
I doubt it's related to the DC F-16s though. F-16s suck at towing banners.
