Kerry was riding with Secret Service agents through Concord, about 18 miles north of Boston, when his bike hit a patch of sand and he fell, campaign officials said.
"He's fine. They took the bike into the bike shop and he went home," said campaign spokesman Michael Meehan.
Kerry was in Massachusetts he has a home in Boston enjoying a break from the campaign trail. It was not immediately clear on what road in Concord he was biking.
Kerry, 60, rides his bicycle as often as he can and sometimes brings it with him on the campaign plane.

1) As someone else has already noted, Kerry's legs are to skinny to belong to someone who rides much.
2) Question: Check out the letters on the bike frame. Do they spell P-E-U-G-O-T?

I don't know what it is, but nearly every pic of Kerry makes him look plastic, fake, just not real. Maybe the camera is really capturing his true image. But in the photo-op pix he doesn't look real.
All joking and laughter aside,
I totally agree with you.
He's so .... (is it stiff?) or
poised, or unnatural looking?
Terribly odd.
And he's such a colossal bore.
What Mr$. Heinz saw or sees in him is beyond me.

One of his flip-flops must have gotten caught in the sprocket, causing him to fall. Kinda like his campaign.

Where are the photos of him being tossed? We have the ones of Bush bumping his head on the helicopter and falling off that scooter thingy.

Does he have a serious neurological disease? He seems to fall down a lot. He definitely has neurological issues.
To: petercooper
Also, note that he's riding without eye protection, a sure way to get wind irritation, or something worse, in one's eyes. Wouldn't want to cover up that botox face, now, would we?

It was not immediately clear on what road in Concord he was biking.
But he's in the bike lane.
Safety first, obeying the law.
What a doofus-dorkus.
My sides are hurting.
That photo! LOL!

One of those SOB's guarding him. We all know Kerry doesnt fall. The Secret Service with him probably catches as much hell as they do with Hitlery.

Serotta...not an inexpensive bike. Custom paint. I believe they're made in the US.
$5,000 or whereabouts with Dura-Ace and carbon fork.

I've fallen while riding a bike before but when I did, I just got back up on it and continued riding. Unlike John Kerry who has his gophers take away his bike and drive him home. What a wuss.

It costs 7 grandI have seen professional touring bikes that run about $3,000 plus
How in the world can a bike cost $7,000?
That's about the same as a decent used car!!!
