MESSAGE OF THE AFTERNOON/EVENING TO PENNSYLVANIA CONSERVATIVES
Get out and vote Toomey.
I am kind of surprised about the reports that US Rep. Toomey seems to be carrying Lancaster County by a slim margin, 52-48
Toomey needs to rack up a good margin in Lancaster County, so that he can afford to bleed a little on Specter turf in Philly.
So if youre a Penn. Republican, quit reading the Corner and go vote Toomey.
Toomey also needs huge margins in York and Harrisburg to offset anticipated Specter wins in the Philly surburbs.

Why don't you ping all the rest of your mushy moderate comrades to sing the praises of Arlen Sphinctre. Pathetic.
Why am I a mushy moderate because I'm telling you the truth? If you're going to kill the king, kill him, otherwise you should fear for your own life. Read Machiavelli when you get done with your GED. It will all make sense.

He'll have NO ONE to answer to. ...exactly and he will vote his cold liberal heart out. filling our courts with liberal activist judges and subjecting our troops to International courts. Arlen Sphencter couldn't(didn't want to) help Bush in 2000 with Ridge as Gov. and Sphencter with Rendull won't help Bush in 2004. Bush has a better chance of winning PA. with Toomey and an energized base, than with Sphencter, any day.
so CLINTONBEGONE...but your still around watching his back.

Did Arlen being in the Senate help Bush in the last election? He didn't carry PA.

What an ignorant statement. Bush lost with Santorum on the ticket in 2004. And he's just as conservative as Toomey. A Toomey win will only energize the Dem base. I could care less about that though since Bush already won office without PA.

So you do not think that Rove had any hand in the decision to butt into the Pennsylvania Primary? And, I suppose, no hand in the way the 2000 Convention was orchestrated? And you disagree with the recent Wall Street Journal article, which described how Rove steered the President to the aging British Academic behind the silly idea that the problems in the Near East will be cured by insulting the people with the idea of changing their culture from outside--all, of course, in the name of promoting Democracy?
Incidentally, Rep. Tancredo was recently quoted at this venue, substantiating the story about Rove telling him to stay away from the White House. Do you deny that that occurred? Or do you simply consider it beneath your dignity to bother about Rove insulting Republicans with wide political support, who stand up for the preservation of traditional American interests?
I prefer to attack Rove, rather than the rest of the Administration, because he is the intellectually weak link. But I am sure such tactics are beneath you.
For more on Rove, see Karl Rove--Revisited!. Of course that is at my "amateur" web site, which you do not have time for. But time will tell, which of us has the truer insight.
Cheers!

+1 seat Dems. I'll take that if that's what it comes to.
Look at it this way. The GOP is expeced already to pick up at least a seat or two (or more) due to Democratic retirements in Red Zone states.
I'd rather have a 52-48 Senate without Spectre than a 53-47 one with him. With him gone that's one less RINO to give Ted Kennedy "Bipartisan" cover for the latest DNC legislation or initiatives. It would also mean someone nearly as obstructionist as Leahy would not be in charge of Judicary for the next two years.

Native Lancastrian here. Lancaster is a good bellweather for this race, I would think.

Florio would beat McGreevey today..

The Specter seat already belongs to the dems anyway, so it would not be a great loss.
