I note that our fighting soldiers have taken the initiative and destroyed the Nest of Vipers, Cutthroats and Murderers that the Arabs like to call a 'mosque'. Im satisfied now that our soldiers will be allowed to defend themselves vigorously. But I want Mr Bush to realize... Im Watching!!!

But.........if your experience makes you negative and pessimistic, then why is it that everyone who's had the experience you've had and is as smart as you are, isn't a hopeless pessimist like you are?That is because I am not a pessimist. There are good decisions and there are bad decisions. If this decision is as described, it is a bad decision in my mind. It shows vacillation and will cause a loss of morale for those troops ready to kick some serious butt.

If I had my way we would have just bombed it to start with and never put a soldier on the ground until nothing stirred but thats not very realistic is it. I do belive I heard someone say last week that our guys had the right to shoot if accosted. I bet they are looking for opportunities.

On the outside of things, I agree - we need to do this thing or come home.
Having said that, I'm sure the issues are far more complex than you or I understand.
The U.S. military is walking a very fine line between taking care of this small band of insurgents, and doing something that pushes a large portion of the Iraqi population toward resenting us.
In addition, there are relationships with other Muslim countries that have to be taken into account.
I'm glad I'm not the one having to bear the weight of these decisions.
Pray for President Bush.
