In the last two day, we actually thought that they were going to come in with the heavy stuff, major airpower etc instead of risking more American lives. They are now saying that we are negotiating with these savages like these are some kind of low level, barricaded drug dealer suspects.

Wait till Kerry's in office and you'll have your answer.

This was a released statement from "anonymous" sources. Probably was not even true.

so much for the promise of:
sudden and irresistable, overwhelming force in fallujah... for the burning murder and mutilation of american civilians there. so much for the immediacy of the promised "overwhelming" force.

We all saw this coming when the contractors called for help, and the military, just a mile or so away... did nothing.

nothing.
and it went on for days if not weeks.

and now it's called a truce.
how appropriate.

THose celebrating the deaths should have been mowed down by choppers. Bad message to send : you dance on the burnt corpses of Americans and nothing happens.

Just like in Baghdad yesterday...Dancing on American Humvees and corpses should be an automatic death sentence.

They'll stop if we do that. Not the attacks but the celebrations.

And elevating this standoff to the level of the WH sends the absolutley wrong msg. Whether true or not, the perception is out there and is damning to our side.

When tactics are driven by the WH, and we are going to use Marines on footpatrol in Falluja as bait......

And why did we let civilians back into Falluja. Leaflet the town, tell everyone to get out and start establishing credibility in the Arab mind.

"NOW it's Vietnam!"

Agreed. The Dubya White House micromanagement of Iraq not unlike the LBJ White House micromanagement of Vietnam.

yes.
with boortz and savage now saying we ahve "screwed the pooch" on this, it is becoming apparent to more and more of the right wing talk show networkers.

bush has gone soft on fallujah.

using marine patrols to "draw fire" as some suggest here is a strategy... our finest sons and daughters as cannon fodder and fishing bait for the people who barbecue americans like mexicans barbeque pork on cinco de mayo...

is just plain wrong... if it is indeed a "bait" strategy.

wonder how many rangers or marines drug through the streets "a la mogadishu" style... will it take before we either fish or cut bait altogether in Iraq?

reagan pulled out of lebanon.
rather than outright retaliation.
given a few graphic atrocities...

What will this President do?
Is he stronger than President Reagan?
I think the political considerations alone, will force him to feed our sons and daughters to the God of Islam, in order to try and prop up the failing religious mantra of the middleroad republican president: "islam is peace".

Well at least here at home we are focussing on what is really important... using the fcc to block words from the radio, like d#mn and he11, fining bono for using the f word, and blocking images of janet jacksons "world threatening" nipple!

AS if we need marines as bait to figure out there are hostiles in the city.

No foot patrols. Stop sacrificing our soldiers lives.

The kill ratio is not that favorable to America.

Ignore the calls for restraint and establish dominance.

Turn on the news, Joe. Find out what's happening in Fallujah.

And one more suggestion before I go..........

PRAY for President Bush. And PRAY for the safety and protection of our soldiers who are fighting and winning this war to defend our freedom and keep us safe.

It might change your own heart.

IF I were a jihadi....

I'd let the patrols pass unharmed for a few days or so.

A fake peace and then......

No matter what, and no matter what policy is implemented, some will support it regardless, as long as *THEIR* candidate is for it!

And no matter what policy is implemented, some will oppose it regardless.

You, for instance.

You know, if it were me.... I think I'd pull the troops out and bring out guys home. There is no reason for them to be there.

I understand your sentiments... but I am opposed to getting our young men killed. There is no reason. We should either bomb them until they surrender, or we should come home and shut up about it.

Let me ask you this... how many young men and women do we lose before you agree that we should bring them home, one way or the other. Or do you have a number that is to many?

721 Americans Killed In Action. 3286 Americans wounded. And the political war continues.

But you know little or nothing about what hurts unit morale. And I do know what I am talking about.

There is no reason to keep them there... 721 Americans Killed In Action. 3286 Americans wounded.

I would disagree with you vehemently, if we were given evidence that we were fighting to WIN. Establish DOMINANCE. Crush TERRORIST infiltrators from Iran and Syria.

Perhaps we know they have sarin and are preparing to use it on their own people, should we take obliterative measures. I don't know. I only know that there are not enough of THEM dead yet, in exchange for your and my kids.

President Bush. Please either, fight to win, kill and obliterate the islamic hordes... or get out, and forget the pipe dreams about democracy in a nation that does not want to bleed for it themselves. Osami wants us to leave.
I want us to stay and wipe them all out, islamists and the nations, regimes, and enclaves that provide them with support, aid, political and logistical cover... that includes IMAMS, MOSQUES and red crescent AMBULANCES.

fallujah is one of their primary enclaves.
so FALLUJAH is at the top of the list.

I love these threads!

No matter what, and no matter what policy is implemented, some will support it regardless, as long as *THEIR* candidate is for it!

I mean the President could order that all the troops now wear glow painted reflective safety vests, and many of these people would say, well you know, it'll reduce friendly fire incidents.

And no matter what policy is implemented, some will oppose it regardless. You, for instance.

Well uh yes Howlin, when those policies result in more dead American's, yes I oppose them. LOL....

Play obtuse if you want, but everybody here knows your agenda.

What's that Howlin? Let me guess, I'm a DU spy right?

Yeowza...
