John O'Neill, the Vietnam veteran who took on John Kerry in the 1971 debate on American "war crimes" that was recently rebroadcast on C-SPAN, will continue his series of media interviews this afternoon, interviewing with Michael Buchanan of the BBC at 4:30pm, with Larry Elder on ABC radio at 7:00pm, and with Alan Colmes on Fox Radio News at 11:15pm. All times are Eastern.
O'Neill, who commanded a Swift boat in the same division as Kerry -- though for considerably longer -- more than held his own against Kerry during a 90-minute special broadcast of the Dick Cavett Show. Now he is challenging Senator Kerry to continue the debate they began 33 years ago, in an effort to clear the names of the Vietnam veterans Kerry once accused of war crimes "committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command."

I am sure you are right. Kerry will never debate O'Neill again. Kerry was just as big a fake in the 70's as he is now. All Kerry was doing was hunting an issue that would get him name recognition so he could become a politician. And he did at the cost of American GI's. He's a parasite.

This was an excellent interview. Larry held him for about two hours, it seems.
O'Neill said that many of his fellow unit members, including those who were WITH KERRY while his three Purple Hearts were "earned," plan to get together en masse (his words) very soon to speak about Kerry's false "hero" claim.
There is no way this man is fit to be CIC.

Kerry spent more time campaigning in leather jacket than he spent with us in Nam. Isn't THAT an interesting sound bite?! Also that he never wore said jacket in Nam; no one did; it was too hot.
Also, O'Neill said they were making a campaign Man From Hope type movie about Kerry's Viet Nam exploits, and that the production of that movie way much longer than teh 4 months Kerry spent in Nam.

I heard him say that if you wanted to BUY the book on Ebay, it was $17 K. Is this true? Someone with more time should check it out.

John may have said $1700.00 -- here's an ebay offered signed John Kerry book THE NEW SOLDIER for $1500.00.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=29223&item=3592111964&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V John O'Neill was right -- the book, authored by Kerry, is a disgrace to those who served in Vietnam. Kerry has been trying to hide the book ever since his first run for Congress in the 1970s -- Kerry refuses to allow anyone reprint rights. Somebody should ask him at a Press Conference if he would be willing for the public to see the book easily and at a reasonable price. Take a look at the book on www.wintersoldier.com and you will see right away why Kerry wants the book kept in the dark.

Alan Colmes suggests that Burkett should debate Robert Mueller. Burkett blows off this idea...
Says Kerry lied systematically in their 1971 debate. Used "at all levels of command" and "Genghis Khan" quotes.
To: Interesting Times
Colmes going after Burkett hard, trying to paint his as a lackey of Nixon. Burkett mostly ignoring this and going after Kerry...
Burkett points out that he voted for Humphrey.
Zap.

Very nice job.
I caught O'Neill on CSPAN'S Washington Journal this week, and was so excited when he kept mentioning
http://www.wintersoldier.com. I'm very proud of FRN.
To: Interesting Times
Colmes tries to get O'Neill to claim there were no atrocities in Vietnam. John doesn't bite. Says they weren't widespread and routine, and that Kerry lied about that. Says he never saw or heard of any atrocities in his outfit.
Colmes says he's going to give Mueller a chance to respond to O'Neill. John mentions Muellers trip to Hanoi to lay a wreath on Ho Chi Minh's grave. A point mentioned, by the way, in the time line at WinterSoldier.com
To: Interesting Times
Colmes trying now to say that questioning Kerry's Purple Hearts is just awful and mean. O'Neill begs to differ.
Nice work.

He was fantastic on Larry Elder's show this afternoon. He has already gotten three death threats but laughed it off by saying they were really facing death in Vietnam so this isn't going to scare him.

Thanks very much. John is a terrific guy and a genuine patriot, and I consider it an honor to have the chance to work with him.

I don't think their efforts are going to be very effective.
